Dude I already found this site myself, but i tried with wav and that got me a really funny result (it looked and sounded REALLY bad), but i will try with mp3. Thank you, this probably the only sensible video on this topic.
Thanks, yeah it's not really an exact science. You can get some crazy results depending on the audio you convert.
@@StudioHacks I first wanted to find out what the notes are by just searching on my piano, but thats pretty hard work so i decided to convert the .wav (btw the mp3 was same result) into midi, but a day lazer or so i found a video by Moozeck and he was playinf the song. Thx

Can you talk about the step around 4:20? How did you turn a busy midi into a monophonic line and then added chords?

The tempo ruins it a bit. As you noticed, it always assumes 120 bpm. It can't guess the correct tempo. So I will try to speed the song up to 120 first, export that to mp3, and then convert it to midi. It should be the correct tempo.
yeah, when i try to convert a normal song, it makes the song very fast, and the notes just scatter around everything.
Just search up the bpm/tempo for your song -_-
@@langstonreese7077 Of course, but that wasn't the point I tried to make. If the input isn't 120 bpm, the output is garbage.
@UCvgzRRn7-xRJSM4twdAaC6A That is not the problem to be solved. I know the correct tempo, but there is no way to tell it to the software. It always assumes that it is 120 bpm. So if the correct tempo is 60 or 240, I have to halve or double the length of every note; there often is a function for that in notation software. But when the tempo is 100 and you don't speed it up to make it 120, you end up with unusable garbage.
Try quantizing. I found that it doesn't work with drums at all but most melody's are fine once you quantize accordingly

It completely trashes the tempo and volume.
when you get a midi file you can set any tempo you like. But yeah, I would add - the tool is a tad unpredictable and not an exact science!

After downloading the converted file in MIDI formate, how can i load that into my DAW
What DAW are you using? usually its an IMPORT--->MIDI command somewhere or just drag the midi file from your desktop and drop it on a MIDI or Software Instrument track
We’re trying to convert hymns to midi files for our organ player.
We search up videos of each hymn on RUclips since there isn’t any downloads online for them, and download MP3’s of them. But when we try converting them with these websites, they sound all jumbled and confusing.
There is no other instrument or voice other than piano chords in these videos we try converting.
How do we get clean versions of these hymns?
when i did a song it sounded like someone has just bashed their head on the piano

Sorry if I'm missing a huge chunk of advice from you regarding midi, but you mentioned Bohemian Rhapsody and I have that midi file but it has all the tracks separated individually. That's what I was looking to emulate.
This can't work unless you have the multitrack audio and assuming this thing can work. Didn't work for me, not surprised because it wouldn't be able to figure out the BPM on most of the tracks
Cool ...yeah the garage band messes with the tempo...in my case i have a WAV recording of a drum track but the quality came out crappy due to several mic reasons...I want to have the drummers technique( I could try to replicate manually with a MIDI keyboard but it is time consuming and I'm a guitar guy not a drummer) obviously he is out for weeks and I need this sooner...so I'll take a shot on this one & see if it converts the drumming into MIDI then I can choose snare/tom/cymbals for each channel to get the cleaner drum sound ...probably I'll do this in Audition as garage band may mess up the tempo changes on the song

I have a question: i hear guitar player's soloing over beats and i'd like to replicate those beats on EZ drummer for personal practice . So i'd like to grab those RUclips recordings , turn them into MIDI and upload them onto EZ using the tap to find to get similar rhythms , but IDK if that's possible . Suggestions ?

hi I really need help with something, I have a " one man band" and I need to build original tracks to sing on, but listening to all the instruments in a song and try re-creating it on my keyboard can be really hard at times. Is there an easy way to hear every individual instruments in a song so I can re-create it on my keyboard?...Please help!
are you re-creating music that you have written? ie Original music or are you doing cover songs?

@@thehalfofzero9285 only if you have the original multi track recordings, then you can solo each instrument. if you dont have multi tracks it's just a matter of practice and your ears will become more attuned over time
you could always seek out a musical transcriber i guess if its too hard

This is great but holy shit the work needed to separate everything. Its like someone merged that Crazy Piano from the Mario 64 Boo's Caged Castle with a Good Pianist trying to play over it. its do able. best for music with no drums. Thank You tho.

@@sebastianc2811 I use FL STUDIOS if you know the song you are converting well enough you can pick out the right notes.
Method 1:(HARDMODE)
in the PianoRoll you can always move the notes to see if there are other notes stacked. Open a new channel with any sound (Piano is easiest) any notes you find that are stacked. Click(hold) and drag that note up a few octaves or down but the same Key. Do this for 8 Count Measures. Then copy and paste it to the other channel with the Piano and Solo it play it back to see what part of the song you moved with out the rest of it. Keep repeating this until you can make out the individual melodies.
Method 2. (PRODUCERMODE) Take the mp3 into a sample channel then equalize the heck out of it. Virtually remove all the Lows. Export to mp3, then converting with the tool. Repeat for the mids And highs. So you end up with 3 midis if done correctly you can drown it each level so low it's almost unheard the convertor might not pick it up to add the notes. Or it's so low the key volume will be low enough when converted you can hear each melody better.
[EDIT]Method 3. (EAZY MODE just found this) ruclips.net/video/bw3fycoY600/видео.html use a Isolation tool and if you can save or record the channels individually you can convert each piece one by one. If you have android there is a app called Moises is the closest I found to the one in the video linked.

why didnt u just use an actual audio file like a snippet from a song or something, u r playing notes from a keyboard, its obvious that the software would work flawlessly that way
NOT WORKING ! Maybe one single instrument, but song - NO WAY ! I tried simple song - result - awful !
Just mind blowing how this is even possible,what’s next,i audio to midi convertor wich could not only analize all notes but also analizes all instruments and voices in a song and those apply those corresponding notes to those instruments and voices sothat in order to create a synthesized version of a song while approximately sounding still the same as the original song but also save alooot of space on memory😁
BTW with this in mind i wouldn’t be surprised if game developers used midi toolchains to convert snes music into genesis music or vice versa by simply determine wich instruments from wich soundchannels to be replaced with certain psg sounds and vice versa by lining up resambled faked instruments with real instruments,
But it might be also possible to convert snes tunes into gameboy tunes and vice versa by again determing wich instruments to be lined up and replaced with wich psg sound effects and sure there should be still some manual adjustments BUT if that really worked well,then musicians didn’t had to replay all songs manually all over again for different systems,in order to save time & money,it’s fashinating me to no end😁

Arteiu Official No unfortunately not. Have seen people do it in FL Studio, not sure it works in the mobile app though.
Edit: Villager #22 is correct; you can import midi to GarageBand, but cannot convert audio to midi inside GarageBand itself
You can put midi into GarageBand
Good tool and it works but if you convert mp3 to midi someone playing a piano you have to clean the file up so you can read the notes. Once you do that you are smoking!!!!
