Eating meat in the modern, developed world is backwards, suicidal and nihilistic. Animal agriculture has been identified as the leading cause of most of the world's environmental problems, only rivalled by fossil fuel vehicles, oil spills, plastics in our oceans and other such major environmental problems. It is the leading cause of deforestation, and one of the biggest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions. Fishing is one of the leading reasons are oceans are dying. To say that you care about animals and the environment and your health and yet eat meat or consume other animal products shows that you don't actually care about any of those things. Producing meat is incredibly inefficient, and cannot be part of a sustainable world in the future. Meat consumption must be lowered drastically.
