I thought you were working with Restrap? I’m taking 4 liters water capacity, bivy and few more layers! I’ll use the full frame bag mainly for food, I definitely can’t afford a bike and gear as light as yours but I’m pretty pleased with my set up, not going that light but have what I think can help me to get to the finish line. See you in Marrakech. By the way that down tube bag is really good I got one.
I like to use different type of bags and in this case the Apidura backcountry series is design specifically for MTB so tough it might be the best choice for me. Thank you :) see you there
I will wear the leg warmer from the start so thats why I did not include them, I am also bringing the rain pants but only pack them if necessary or just leave it at the bag they store for you at the start line
Nice setup! I'm sure you'll do great at Atlas Mountain. I'm wondering, what's it like to ride with a hydration vest? Looks like there's at least three kilos on you back. Doesn't that cause strain on your neck/shoulders/upper back?
its actually comfortable for me, I used it in Badlands and TCR and no issues, good thing is super packable so I can even store it away on my saddle bag if I want
Top Video 🥳I also use the Albion Burner - Awesome piece of kit. I added two loops and shock cord so it goes around my neck and doesn't slip down on long rides.
thanks, I start with a wax chain using the Silca wax and then during the race I top up with Silca synergetic lube. I used this combination in Badlands and work out well
Good luck! 🍀🍀🍀 Why choose a classic rubber tube, which can be heavy and bulky? I wouldn’t recommend using an electric pump if you already have the Silca pump on hand. With a tubeless setup, CO2 can be helpful if you need to reseat the tire.
Should be the Spark SP1 with a comfort temperature of 9 degrees and the sea to summit Ultralight Air with an r value of 1.1... could be chilly in the mountains at that time of the year. She's experienced so she should know what she is doing. Cheers
As allways very interesting and professional content of yours, thanks! 👍 This time you remindet me of a flight attendant explaining the lifevest. 🙂 Only one item shocked me: Why not a TPU innertube as spare? ( half the weight and a quarter volume…)
thank you, because you can damage them and are more diffucult to patch up, a lot of people in TCR had issues with TPU tubes, I use tehm for normal rides but not races
I carry the electric pump also because it has a pressure gauge to adjust the exact pressure I want on the sandy sections and cleaning the chain during the race makes a big difference :)
Thank you Sherry, and have a wonderful race out there! Waiting for your race report! :- )))
thank you 🙌

You forgot it’s the new year. Probably contract ended.
She's been with Apidura.

No leg warmers or rain pants to keep your legs warm? In the last editions temp was below freezing in the mountains...
I was wondering the same
I will wear the leg warmer from the start so thats why I did not include them, I am also bringing the rain pants but only pack them if necessary or just leave it at the bag they store for you at the start line
Hi Sherry, where do You keep the food? Did I miss something? Ok, I see the 2x90g gels... but then what and where to put it?
yes, I will take 10 more gels at least but theywere still on the way by the time i made the video ^^
Very nice set up. Congrats and good luck
Thanks, you too!
Good luck on your race!
thank you 🙌
That bike of yours is a dream!...😍 Hugs from Germany, and good luck and safe riding for the race!🙏
Thank you 🙌

Wahoo, looking forward to the videos. I love the fact you have 2 grinders in the background... maybe a tour of your coffee set up... :)
thank you 🙌 will do one day
Sweet setup. Good luck on your race.
thank you 🙌
Thanks.
Is that enough fluid carrying capacity ?
2 liter bladder and one bottle.
I think should be fine, the longest you have without resupplies is 100 km
Top Video 🥳I also use the Albion Burner - Awesome piece of kit. I added two loops and shock cord so it goes around my neck and doesn't slip down on long rides.
Great tip! Thank you
one question: chain - wax or lube for these conditions? lots of success in the mountains!
thanks, I start with a wax chain using the Silca wax and then during the race I top up with Silca synergetic lube. I used this combination in Badlands and work out well
Really enjoyed seeing your setup! I'm curious where you'll be carrying food (other than the gels)?
thank you 🙌 I carry them in my cargo vest and cargo bib shorts as well as taped to my bike ^^
I've been using the Burner ever since it came out, heck I used it today even!
its great!
awesome setup!! goodluck 🙂
thank you 🙌
good luck , take care of you
thank you 🙌
Good luck! 🍀🍀🍀

don't really understand why people bring a electrical pump, if they have to bring a mechanical one as backup anyways. seems like such a waste
its helpful with the pressure gauge to get the pressure you want for the sandy sections
Hi, which temperature level is the sts spark sleeping bag?
Should be the Spark SP1 with a comfort temperature of 9 degrees and the sea to summit Ultralight Air with an r value of 1.1... could be chilly in the mountains at that time of the year.

exactly :)
nice bike set up! 😊
thank you 🙌
Looks absolutely optimal! That said.... where is the supply of Haribo?? Also, do you ever take any high density calorie foods to eat at camp?
She keeps sweets in her Albion hi-viz hydration pack or maybe her short pockets?
of course, this time a small pack of haribos :) I normally take beef jerky
Have fun!
thank you 🙌
What aerobar you are using? I can’t find it on the description. Thanks
I think she said ControlTech.
Control Tech Sirocco aerobars
As allways very interesting and professional content of yours, thanks! 👍

I think you need more water capacity...
it was enough more than enough for badlands and tcr
Cool. I'd add an extra tubeless liquid, chain lubricant, and spare brake pads. Just in case.
good one :)
No haribo?
just a mini pack as a treat ^^
Two pumps? and stuff to clean the chain ? i would over think that
I carry the electric pump also because it has a pressure gauge to adjust the exact pressure I want on the sandy sections and cleaning the chain during the race makes a big difference :)
I save the sports nutrition for the nights when businesses are closed and I'm desperate for some dense calories.
good strategy
Why don't you get a spare PVC tube? It's lighter and smaller 💪
because you can not patch them up if necessary as easily
No Haribo? Very disappointed... 😂 Good luck!
just a mini pack 😂
So, without a spare jersey
same jersey for the whole race 😅
Looks… like milion $
🙌
😂
🙌
You do not need suspension for that kind of ride
seems quite rocky ^^
first
🙌
Thanks my friend 🙏
