‘Stripped of convenience and addiction’ that is so very true. I wish someone could remove my husband from his phone. We used to go on so many adventures. I love living through your travels Becky. Please know you are making this lady very happy to come along on your ventures.
100 miles off road is equal to 200 on - a big day out at any time of year. Good luck - can't wait to see the film, especially after the Silk Road which I thought was easily the most amazing thing I've seen you do.
Great Video Becky. I did some biking around that area many years ago and it was brutal. Stick to hiking in North Wales these days and it's stunning. Glad you liked it. Look forward to the video of you trip
Keep the head up and be positive. Some days its better to give in before you sicken yourself tho its hard to admit to ourselves this at times. Also the weather in this country(im in Ireland) makes it even more challenging to even get motivated, the hardest part is deciding how many layers we need on before heading out but when you finally get out its a great feeling and satisfaction that you've done something. Good luck on the big Adventure and safe travels.
Wales is probably a good place to practice as winter in Morocco can be very unpredictable. You can get snow, nights are cold and even the days when out of the sun. You can even get heavy rain! Good luck!
Well done Becky, you are amazing, now is the time in your life for such adventure and accomplishment. Appreciate that you share your experiences. Love ❤😊
It takes tremendous courage and self trust. I have been traveling full time for 3 years in the Western US, which has given me the opportunity to meet so many people from all walks of life. I do not ask them what do you do? Instead I ask what is your passion, what brings you joy, what lights you up? Sadly many responses are blank stares and "I don't know". This makes me sad. Kudos to anyone who can identify what they love and have the courage to pursue that. It is the key to a life well lived!
Count your blessings every day, that you have the health to do this, many like myself will never get the chance. Don't take your good fortune for granted.
Hi Becks. You're right what you say about the value of time. It's wise to make the most of every day, even if some of it is taken up with necessary routine & daily grind. I certainly make the most of any opportunity to escape to the Lakes or Scotland. Your attitude to life should inspire others. Take care in Morocco ! xx
Everyone that complained that said she waist your/ his time watching, nobody said you must watch this video. Just remember there many backpackers and cyclists that can learn from here experience!
Hi how are you... I am a big fan of what you do.. I am from Morocco and I have crossed the Moroccan desert on a bike... I love adventure like you.. That's why I invite you to Morocco so we can take a trip together... I would be honored to meet you.
I’m looking forward to biking/hiking/running around this area, so I’m so glad that your new video came up in my feed. We bought a holiday caravan in North Wales a few months ago and once the season starts again in March I’ll be exploring those hills and trails. From your video I’ve guessed that you started in Mold and you’re biking around the Moel Famou / Clwydian Range area? I must admit that I’d be more comfortable riding nothing too rocky and technical. Also well done to you they won’t be the easiest trails to ride 🙌🏻
Thank you for taking us with you and sharing this beautiful journey ! It was absolutely the best close of a very full day here in Greece, in the morning protesting against the government and in the evening participating in a sound bath!
Lovely video Becky as always, beautifully put together. I love Audax riding, being out there for miles clears the head and because it has a goal, drives you on. I wish you all the luck on your Ultra, you will smash it....
6:55 the excited Woolly Welsh branch of the Girl Outdoors Fan Club out to cheer on Becky enjoying the North Wales beauty while training for Morocco. 🐑🚴
Brilliant showing of my local trails, people do really under estimate how much climbing and descent can be packed into the area, with the added effort of Clwyds mud thrown in. There's one point on that route on a clear day, you can see into Snowdownia, the Sea and the Cathedrals in Liverpool.
Hi Becky, sad isn’t it that as you were on the route I kept recognising sections, I live in the valley you looked at towards Eryri, my old cycling routes. Good luck and enjoy the Moroccan adventure, not good memories for, we ended up with dysentery 🤢
Good luck for the race Becky, just watched Sherry's (buzzalong) video with her loadout for this race so it'll be interesting to see how you both get on. Routes like that are brutal in just about any weather, I've been on rides where even relatively small ascents are hike a bike because the surface is too loose to get any traction. IME Komoot is pretty decent at estimating completion times.
Hey, Becky! I'm glad to see how you have progressed in this wild world of bushcraft and survival. Do you remember me? I sent you a fire steel years ago, in a wooden box! You have developed a very nice channel, and it's rewarding to see another British bushcraft star rising. Congratulations!!
That was a pretty hardcore ride. Folk say that for every road mile, you can double it for off-road. I reckon you can add another mile for wet, cold winter conditions. So you got your virtual 100 Becky. It’s good to reality test your goals - you’ve learnt a lot from that ride.
Hey! I see you were in Cilcain! I live about 100 yards from where you stopped and put your jacket on in the video and can see Moel Famau from my house. Such a beautiful part of the country. The pub does amazing food if youre ever stopping nearby. Good luck with the training, really enjoy your vlogs.
Keep on keeping on Becky. You are a role model for young and old in this age of doom scrolling and social media nastiness. Best wishes for every challenge you attempt in the future. ✊
You are obviously a very driven young lady. How you find the time to film along the way and then edit when you get home is amazing. At 78 my bike riding days are over and life will soon be over too😊.
Total admiration for your achievements becky, 100 miles off road would have been something else, i feel sure 45 miles is more than enough. I feel guilty spending today doing very little, in fact i was already disappointed in myself then your video was the first thing I see. Tomorrow is a new day. 😊
Getting used to our wet, damp, cold, and dark winter lifestyle takes some time. Summer can be 100% humid and will definitely test you differently. It's a training ground, for sure.
Good Luck in your endeavors.. Remember you will never regret the things you have done in your lifetime; only the things that you didn’t do. Live your life the way you see fit .. you won’t regret it!
Great video, that wasn't failure, it was a stepping stone to success as Bear Grylls would say! I love the fact that you are a deep thinker and that you reflect on your activity and surroundings in a way that is unusual in many people today. Such an enjoyable video, thank you. By the way, that front light is bloody awesome!!!
Cause the road is long and narrow, and im down to just one arrow. And my poor legs can hardly stand. But you can put me back in the saddle, point me towards the battle, its time to make another last stand. Reminds me of your GRIT. Cheers!
Good luck in Morocco. Are you friends with Buzz Along. I guess she will be doing the race as she's an ultra off road cyclist also. You and she both very inspiring. As for me I got my first indoor smart trainer and am cycling in my kitchen. Not ideal but on some days it pushes my limits and I am hoping it will be a more effective workout during these winter months and in the spring I can again attempt to reach my former cycle-fitness, though at my former peak 100 miles on-road was the very maximum I could do if I took a week off to recover. I'm not particularly experienced but solo cycling in wild places is amazing; despite the pain of effort it lifts my soul with joy even more than solo hiking. I hope you get to do the GDMBR some day. It's my dream to do it casually over 3 months.
Hi becky just wany to say you're looking really well. Fresh looking . It must be all this outdoor stuff that you keep doing. You look like youre doing good. Look after yourself mate. 🙂
Hi Becks. Can you put your gpx track either on here or on your komoot page. Looked really tough but even though I live here I couldn't work out the route
When you have arthritis in both knees more or less all you can do is watch other people go to those places not in reach of a car. You could easily have edited the video with no mention of the second circuit, so glad you were open with everyone on a task that defeated you. If you don’t try to go beyond your limit you will never reach your limit but you must make provision to be safe. Could you give a rundown on what you had with you for if you got stuck at night on the second circuit with say a crashed bike. I think it would make a great add on vlog. You keep living your life as makes you happy.

Great Video Becky. I did some biking around that area many years ago and it was brutal. Stick to hiking in North Wales these days and it's stunning. Glad you liked it. Look forward to the video of you trip
Think hiking in north wales is a better option for off road terrain haha! All the best :)

Inspirational. Good luck on the Atlas Mountain Race.
Thank you for another great video. Looking forward to the race. Have a good time.
Thanks so much! It will be more like a “hard ride” for me instead of race haha
Amazing video ❤ love the adventures

That's stunning, well done 💥💕
Nice one Becky, I was cycle touring 4 days (mainly road) around there the other week too. Stunning, and hardly any cars at all

Exactly! Very unpredictable..

I for one love your videos Becky. They help me relax. Just continue being yourself. And your relaxing style of videos
Nice one Bex! Really getting into the biking 😊😊
This lady is living HER dream. It's so sad so many people don't do the same. Great video. Take care everyone ❤

Another great video (and hard ride) Can't wait to hear how you get on in Morocco!
Despite the cold, I really enjoyed the scenery along the route. It really is beautiful.
