I haven't even watched this yet I am hoping for Fun Home to place very high! I flew from Oregon to NYC twice for this show. I saw the final performance, that was unforgettable!! OK, now I will watch and hope for the best!😀😍 (I also hope Ride has a good showing!!)

You asked for shows that we thought were "missing" from your list. It's funny because your list of shows is really extensive and yet my two absolute favourites were missing. If you don't know them you HAVE to check them out! In both cases the queer characters are at the centre of the story.
1. BARE - a pop opera. This musical is sooo good! (Dare I say perfect?) The music, the lyrics, the book, the characters. Everything is so well done and it is so authentic and moving. If you don't know this one yet, please do check it out. You should definitely listen to the original cast with Matt Doyle and James Snyder. They do such a great job (the rest of the cast as well of course).
2. Zanna, don't. This is a lot more camp and fun, though it has very sad and thoughtful moments, too. It takes places in an "upside down" world, where being homosexual is the norm and heteros are "outsiders". I don't know why, but for me this is such a perfect show for summer. I have it on repeat right now.
Unfortunately, the creators of both shows didn't create anything else.

I know I’m so late to this video, but I have to give a Head Over Heels shoutout! Lesbian main characters? Several bi/pan characters? A non-binary oracle? A character who has an onstage gender journey and comes out as bigender at the end? There’s just nothing else like it in musical theater. I played Philoclea in my college’s production and I think it helped both me and my friend who played Musidorus realize our own nonbinary identities, and that’s gotta be worth something.
Oooh this was such a great bracket!! Really enjoyed this video. A lot of my choices were similar throughout (I guess as while it's still subjective, it's slightly less subjective) but my finale ended up as Falsettos vs Fun Home and I gave it to Fun Home but I adore both those shows. I think your winner was a good choice too though!

My winner would probably be Fun Home. I havent seen all of the shows so I couldnt fairly decide for a few of the brackets. Excellent list to explore a bit for sure though.
This was really good and Fun Home did rank very high, yea!😍🥰 I also think My Son's a Queer is a winner. I have not seen it but read a lot and saw Mickey Jo's interview with Rob. I can see why this is a fantastic show!!! I also was wondering if you were judging the first showing of Ride (and the Proshot version), or the revision where I have heard the relationship between Martha and Annie was more clear? Also, when you do these bracket videos if you could put in the brackests more clearly where I can pause to see them as we go and even go back to refresh my memory of the competition as we get closer to the end? 🙂
Can't believe Book of Mormon and The Producers ended up together 😂 two of my all time favourites but definitely not winning any awards for perfect representation! Avenue Q definitely has them both beat.
Hiya! Quick Musical History Dork note: Queerness did rear it's head (briefly) in Company, original recipe. The couple that includes the wife that sings the "bless this bride etc." bit in "Not Getting Married" is actually divorcing, even though they seem to getting along great. Later in their scene, when Bobbie is alone with the guy, he, the husband, tries to make a sad little pass at him (bobby). It's...not great.

You absolutely made the right choice re: Jamie v Spring Awakening. Or at least I agree with it on the basis that Lea Michele was only foundation to one of them.
