We work in construction and would be willing to install the individual ac units for anyone who is unable to do it themselves! Or maybe someone could even start a go fund me to buy units for them! We take care of my husband's elderly parents so we know how difficult things would be for them if we weren't here to help them so we have a soft spot in our hearts for the elderly in those apartments that either can't afford an ac or just unable to install it!

Stay away from condos and associations
Most homeowners can’t come up with $20,000.
IMO - We run into similar issues in Texas concerning residential HOAs.
