Well said Raphael. The large majority of my 42 competitive marathons have been negative splits and produced good times and consistency. Aiming at raining runs that encourage a strong finish (ie progressive training runs, or fast finishes after a long run, very tough, but extremely beneficial) are worth there weight in gold. Thanks, enjoyed your video.
I agree, but having said that, my recent marathon was not a negative split, but I still got a PB and finished first. I was happy with my time, it motivates me to do better in my next one.

A negative split is the guarantee for satisfaction for anyone, but humble normal folks are also happy with any outcome as long as they finish.
