    in the difficulty uphill: put your foot on the bike, move your body to the front of the seat and "get on the gas".

    Hey Jack, do you still have the RMX and do you ever ride it in that kind of terrain, the 350 is a great bike, I just find modern 4 strokes are more work and definitely more expense to repair and maintain.

    • @jackkellybuilds
      @jackkellybuilds  Год назад

      I sold the RMX late last year, I never planned on keeping it long term or riding it off-road, for the type of stuff I like to ride, I prefer to have electric start, I also prefer riding 4 strokes personally, but I can definitely see the benefits of 2-stroke off road, and its obvious why they're the popular choice.

    I thought I was the only one ruthlessly dumping my bike like that!! Thanks for including the footage. I felt the frustration building after each failed attempt because I’ve been there, done that. Starting to question why I like riding, along with all other life’s choices. Like should I have gotten the 300 2 stroke instead’ve the 350 4 stroke?….😂 Truly perplexing in the moment, right?

      hahaha sometimes the frustration gets the better of us. I am strongly considering a 300 2 stroke for the next bike though, im riding a lot more hard enduro than I intended to when I bought this bike.

      300 two stroke or 350 4 stroke doesn't matter you still throw em down the same amount 😂

    Solid effort by man and bike. Would a exc500f be more effort on those climbs do you know?(more flame outs maybe, I'm unsure which way to go, 350 or 500). I've read the 350 is smother but not so good on the tarmac, of which I have lots unfortunately. Thanks for posting.

      if your going to be riding mostly on the road I would say the 500 would be your best choice, I rode with a guy on a husky 501 and he didn't seem to struggle to bad with the extra power/weight of the bike on the tighter stuff.

      @@jackkellybuilds Ok, thanks. I wonder why Gasgas didn't go for a larger displacement. The ES700 would be good for the roads but with tighter off-road stuff its heavy and prone to stalling.

    How have you found the build quality of the Gas Gas vs KTM/Husqvarnas you have owned? Had a husqy dealer telling me the Gas Gas "looks like its been put together by a Chinese man" indicating its cheap...As far as i am aware its basically the same bike and made in the same factory as KTM/Husq?

    • @jackkellybuilds
      @jackkellybuilds  Год назад +2

      Build quality is exact same as ktm & husqvarna. Because it’s all made in the same factory. Your husky dealer was probably just trying to make a sale on a more expensive bike. Gasgas just don’t have some of the bells and whistles that the ktm & husqvarna’s have like radiator fans and billet triple clamps. But all the actual important stuff is the same.

    Has the skid plate stayed on without that bracket??? I have contemplated leaving that bracket off myself on my Husky

    • @jackkellybuilds
      @jackkellybuilds  Год назад +1

      it was doing well for a while, then I was trying a tough hill in a deep rut and when I slid backwards, the back of the skid plate caught a root that was in the rut and it pulled it off, it reattached just fine because the plastic hooks sort of sprung back.But I have now attached the extra rear hook. If the main two hooks were another, less flexible material I think the skid plate wouldn't have pulled off. I have toyed with the idea of making some aluminium hooks to replace them.

      Good to know, I may fab up something myself, that extra piece is a bit annoying when time to do an oil change
