Manly is a team that relies heavily on energy; ie. you see some of their best performances in front of a packed home crowd as it pumps them up. Unfortunately, for this reason, I don't think seibold and manly are a good fit. Seibold is a pretty contained guy with a cool, calm and collected approach to coaching, which can definitely be effective for some teams with a similar culture, but I don't think that his disposition gels well with Manly's culture. I don't really see Seibold giving a big pep talk or inspiring speech that would help lift the energy of the players, like Des would've been capable of. I also don't think Seibold is capable of giving the players a spray like Des could. In other words, Manly are a passionate side who need a passionate coach that will elevate their energy. Someone like Bellamy or Sticky for instance. As much as I appreciate calculated and non-chalant coaches and respect Seibold, I don't think they’re a good match.

Geoff Toovey was a pretty passionate coach and we all know how that turned out

Fair comment but that is often where your assistant coaches should be stepping up. A good coach gets people in that can compensate for his weaknesses.

Turbo is like what holds people together! He works hard and he always gets those good passes in. When he gets injured everyone falls because we have not many good fullbacks to replace him. We can still play well but the players need to up their game
