That really sucks. I had two 1980s Powell Peralta boards stolen from the side of the house. One of them had autographs from Tony Hawk and Steve Caballero.
Busted my ACL on the Vallely. My razor tail was no more. Snapped on the handrail landing. But damn, loved that board, the mini Hawk, and the Ripper. Loved that board more than most. Had Hawk sign mine in Pittsburgh, Pa at ShadySkates during the Bones Brigade tour between 86-87. He was like 17 then, maybe 18. Was on KDKA news back then in the skatepark.

omG mike mcbill was my skateboard..this brings me so many good memories..i still think the old school shape of skateboards were way more cool than today. I grew up with this groundzero wave of skateboarding..before was breakdancing, lol, good old times. Who remembers to watch over and over the movie Trashin´? back then we actually used to play for real, not seated on chair in front of a computer like i do these days. tx for sharing your great collection, i still have my skateboard with orange bullet wheels.
Thanks for watching. I've always been a fan of the d shapes, I like how you knew the skaters by just the shape of their boards. I'm 45 now and haven't skated hard in a few years (knee injury) but I have to boys 9 & 6 who skate...so I can live vicariously through them :)
Loved the Tony Hawk board and was my favourite and in those colours. Loved the shape of it too. Had the Per Welinder as it was a bit cheaper and traded it for the maroon Lance Mountain which felt a lot nicer to ride and was a really good board. Still might by that Tony Hawk board one day.

Nice collection. My favorite board I had was the Mini Lance Mountain when they introduced their mini series. Shortly after, I skated a Madrid Mini Bryce Kanights. After that, I got sponsored by Fogtown and Venture, so I started riding the Fogtown Beast, which was an awesome board.
@@Beaverj420 I won a few local amateur skate contests when I was 16. Back in those days, there wasn’t all this flipping everywhere. Hand plants were big when I was skating and it’s when the ho-ho started picking up steam. I did one and the crowd went absolutely nuts. I think that won it for me.

back in the 80s I had a tony hawk skateboard.I freaked out when I saw your Jason Lee cause it looked exactly like it .the blue with the red German cross the only thing that's different is the skull.I had independent trucks with 50\50 mini cubics on it.I SURE MISS THAT SKATEBOARD.ROMAN
I'm so lucky iv still got 4 original 80es decks like new .I bought couple reissues .wonder if they ever going to do any more last ones I bought was the natural colour .my original are kept away . Got over 300 decks .
Nice, I was sorta bummed about reissue decks coming out but some old decks are just impossible to find in unused condition. Because let's face it, when they came out we have know idea of how much these would be worth 30 years from now. That's why I picked up a few of the bam and Chris cole decks, because in a few years....💰💰💰
Did you ride the ripper? I've seen a few that have been thrashed. I couldn't bring myself to mount it, it is a very limited edition. The gator took me forever to find one that wasn't used. It cost me a small fortune but I love it!

I play around on a santa cruz Eric W. thats set up old school and I'm always telling my kids that I learned 75%of the tricks on those heavy things. But luckily I lived through all the shapes and designs. I do miss that you could tell the pro model by its shape.

I had both a red+ a yellow Vallely & once i took flight i never retouched earth until a few girls called me down. landed which pisses my wife & her husband off. I still believe you get the shape available from street plant. Are you familiar with "PP - Bone-ite" scam? it came around in 1987-89 to eliminate a layer of maple and add a roofing type .

That is a very valuable deck. I skated a Natas that was the same shape. It was aqua with the jag. That deck ollied like a bastard. Indys and bones freestyle wheels to keep it light. Set up a SC Gonz the same way. The two best street boards I ever had.
Guys,, I learned that the vintage PowellPeralta era decks are noticable superior quality of wood.. *I can't skate these no nose decks but my hill bomb deck is a 1988 Ray Undehill nicknamed TheBeast because of how steep the tail/concave and long nose like a JayLeno chin.. *Weird how that Underhill has a huge nose almost two years before TheGonz & Blind started coming out with em that long.. **Fast Forward to Chriss Senn & StreetSkating Stev Cab in early 90's football shape (1 yearor2 right b4 popsicle ruined everything) Those dekcs are skatable for sure.. Th eonly difference this 45 year old notices is the tail is very soft and same with nose.. We skated those decks with no risers and super tiny wheels so when i put a riser on em now with newer stage Indies it's like a new exp.. So if you see a 1993 Powell Deck on ebay= you'll feel the difference. My rule is it has to be under $140.

Trust me, if you find....let's say my hawk(which is a 1983 original) it would cost hundreds if not a grand. So if you want to spend that and thrash it, more power to you. Mabusesato yes, the measurements are spot on except for the truck holes are for the newer hole pattern.

C&D ap/100 wich is 1 of 5 artists prints before they start numbering them. Artist prints are best for vibrant colors.
