PAT WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU... ONCE A KNICK ALWAYS A KNICK AND YOU WERE OUR HEART AND SOUL FOR SO MANY YEARS AND THROUGH THE TOUGHEST BATTLES.. EVEN WHEN YOUR KNEES GAVE OUT YOU NEVER SHAMED YOURSELF OR OUR TEAM.. TRUE KNICKS FANS LOVE YOU ...
My childhood wouldnt have been the same without the Big-Man
"Pat-RICK Ewing"!!!!!
Greatest NYK of ALL TIME and will ALWAYS be my favorite player of all time in all of sports!
A true Warrior + Legend!
So true. Patrick Ewing made me a Knick fan. He's legendary!
Patrick Ewing is a legend
Olajuwon, Mourning, Robinson, Ewing, Mutombo, Oneal, Divac, Malone, and Parish.
Gotta miss the 90s centers.
Malone and parish werent that much in the 90s though.. they were way past their primes at that time
We need Ewing to coach the Knicks we need that defensive mind back in the game they were always a defensive team
Ewing is and forever will be the Heart and soul of the Knicks =)
I remember when Shaq first played against the Knicks and I was sure that Shaq would outplay Ewing, but Ewing took Shaq to school.
A few times yes even with bad knees plus remember both Ewing and Hakeem were in the NBA near 10yrs already when Shaq came into the league.
A MONSTER DUNK on Mourning. PAT did it with fierce.
Will forever be my ALL TIME FAVORITE player in sports history! TRUE Warrior n deserved that Ring in 94/99! Dang Patrick!
Laker fan all day but Ewing was one of the greats and if it wasnt for Jordan and Olajuwon he would have had a ring. Also i love the way he dunked on people cuz it was all length and power...like this long ass arm you couldnt reach just jacking the ball through the hoop hard. dope
That dunk on Rodman is unforgettable.
Patrick Ewing the best center ever!!!!!
Love it! Ewing will always be the 🐐
Patrick missed some big shots in his career, but he was never afraid to take them. He was a larger than life legend in NYC and will never be forgotten!
Since 1989 (8 yrs/old), was, is, + ALWAYS will be my favorite player of ALL TIME in ANY sport!!
Still breaks my heart that he never got that ring!
Funkin 94' man- they were the BETTER TEAM that year + if not for that dumbass 2-3-2 Finals format I truly believe the NYK woulda been celebrating down 7 AVE w/ a much deserved ticker-tape PARADE!!
Definitely the best shooter of any Center ever
And finally, one of my favorites... Game 3 of the 1996 playoffs vs. the Bulls, where Ewing hit a huge shot just before the end of regulation and then two big shots in the final minute or so of OT to bring the Knicks from behind to victory.
Best Knick Ever!
great list .. he had an unbelievable repetoire of moves for a big man, his shooting touch and his power moves were second to none.
All time great.
hands down best nyk of all time also a top 5 center of all time i wish him success at georgetown so he can come back home professionally and lead the knicks to the promised land
PATRICK EWING G.O.A.T (GREATEST OF ALL TIME)
It's our time to grind again let's go Knicks
Patrick my all time favorite Knick
I miss the 90's knicks
Equint77 Tell me about it.
un des meilleurs joueur de tous les temps!
My favorite player growing up. Great list.
Loved this he was and still is my favorite knick it's a damn shame his career ended like it did and that now the Knicks are under what I'd call the Ewing curse.
Thank you for posting this video. Wonderful just wonderful memories. Knick fan for Life!
What a player!!! Hope he will become Knicks head coach soon!!!!!!!
Radosław
The Knick 100% we need that DEFENCE BACK ever since they've took that out? Nothing but bad luck i think Ewing would be that piece that's missing .👍
It would be good to see him finally get a ring at home :)
The Knicks, the same organization and fanbase that treated him like dogshit throughout his playing career; I highly doubt he would ever return to that shitty organization especially if they are the biggest choke artists in all professional sports
Thanks for this vid,…growing up in Bklyn back in the days,…..these were some of the best times ever and it had the whole city buzzing….good times, great childhood memories🙏🏾❤️💪🏾
The biased sport media (ESPN particularly) has always been enamored of showing highlights where Jordan dunks on Patrick but here we have a tangible proof that Patrick owned Jordan's ass on the defensive end many times and Olayuwon, as well.
...Ewing's game-winning shots against the Heat in the 1999 playoffs, his return after being out most of the season in the 1998 playoffs vs. the Pacers (Game 3, I believe), his triple-double in 1996, his three-pointer against the Bulls in Game 7 of the '94 playoffs, Ewing's game winner off the backboard from the far baseline vs the Bulls (1997...same game as the dunk over Rodman), his monster slam vs the Nets (late 80s?), Ewing with the block and going end to end for the slam vs the Heat (1990).
That #8 is sick! Amazing
So I have two favorite players of all time both wore 33 both were franchise players changed the game both played for U.S. basketball never will be forgotten go Patrick go Ewing
I meant bird as well
Legendary.
As a Knick fan, I always knew that we had a shot to win - as long as we had #33. He should have retired a Knick
Great video. Thumbs up. 👍
Patrick should've got at least 2 NBA titles with NY Knicks
The only reason Ewing is underrated is because he did not win a championship, but u have to admit he deserves at least one.
Ohhhhh my God. I forgot most of it.. This is amazing. God bless Patrick.
great video
Greatness
thanks for that :) brought back a many gd memories
Thanks for the great memories :)
Thanks for the great video!
Great C
La Bestia
Loved it good look
No shame in that. Hakeem was a legend and probably the most skilled center that ever lived.
Ewing was the greatest Center sans a ring.
imagine if Mark Jackson hadn't gone to Indiana, then no Charles Smith, Charles Smith, Charles Smith. Knicks would've had Oakley, Ewing, Jackson, Starks, Mason, oh what could've been
Ewing blocked a lot of good players back in the day 🏀🙋
Ewing will never get credit for actually being a *very* clutch player. The amount of game-winning shots he hit is endless. He missed a few too (like the finger roll versus the Pacers in 1995) but then again, so have all the stars. The Knicks would have been nothing without Ewing carrying them all those years. A few more for the list... game winner vs. Magic in the early 94-95 season, Ewing's rejection on Olajuwon in the 1994 finals (a different one from the one in the countdown)...
neo11 That finger roll against the Pacers, I will never that. Best center. Period
@guidonyk, Thanks!!!!:D
i need a dollar dollar dollar is what i need
Patrick Ewing 24815 career points :D Dirk Nowitzki 24795 career points at the moment :D
I love Manute Bol as a brother, real talk, so show respect. Manute had a GOLDEN heart y'all, show respect. ~R.I.P.
Did he travel on moment # 08 ??? Looks like he traveled there when going up for the dunk
@mrblackhulk who's kony? u mean pony?
kony vs ewing who wins?
Ewing has real talent, not like Shaq just a 330lb behemoth
The only Knicks team that were eliminated by the Bulls that were serious championship-caliber was the 93' team. NY-PHX would have been interesting. The 89' Knicks don't get past the 63 win, Bad Boy Pistons that eventually won it all. The 91' Knicks were a sub .500 team. The 92' Knicks, MAYBE, but beating the Cavs and Blazers of that year would be very tough. The 96' Knicks don't beat the Magic and sure as hell not the 64-win Sonics.
All ya have to do is look at how PATHETIC a franchise the NYK have been since Patrick left in 2000! Never be another like the Big Man from G'Town!
#1 is not #1
17 goaltending?
olajuwon will always be better. fact!!
Yes I admire Olajuwon's foot works but he had some dirty tactics.
Spoon forkey Olajuwon is overrated. Ewing is underrated.
Hakeem just got back some get back from that NCAA LOST IN 84 2 PATRICK THAT ALL 10 LATER.PEACE
Greatest knick of all time .
Golden Era of Centers in the NBA. Imagine if Ewing were born 20-25 years later.
Nowadays the best center is Dwight Howard for crying out loud. Ewing is a couple levels above him.
