Tap dancing is a uniquely American art form, with more than three centuries of tradition behind it. Ayodele Casel, a dancer and choreographer who has worked on Broadway shows, has dedicated her life to honoring the dancers of years gone by and ensuring their achievements are not forgotten. Thank you for covering Ayodele Casel and the Nicholas Sisters - Women Tappers! So delightful to know what Ayodele is doing to preserve tap dancing history. I was fortunate to have taken tap class in NYC with (first name?) Kelly in the late 60s, where I found out how exciting and also strenuous it was. I was also fortunate to have taken a Master class with one of the Nicholas Brothers in 1975 in San Francisco. He was very kind, and of course, brilliant.
