Old houses are some peoples real passion. I think about just the basics; continuous foundation problems, lead based paint EVERYWHERE, asbestos wrapped chimney, lack of updated plumbing and electric, heating and insulation, but other than that🤷🏻♀️ Someone would have to love it and have lots of money. Thanks for the tour. 💜💚
Love this beautiful old house..! Wish it could be restored with such great bones. Don't like the lot, but appreciate the solid workmanship. Good showing Nick...love ya
I've really come to look forward to your postings on Saturday. I'm in the "newer" Pacific Northwest, and love the older homes you show. Restoration must be a big industry in Connecticut? I would love spending $$ getting these older homes back into their (almost) original beauty!
Glad to be apart of your Saturdays! Yes, restoration is pretty big out here in New England. In some cases these older homes can be apart of a "historical district" and have to be restored and renovated with certain materials, colors, etc... to match the period they were built.
I like this house. Don’t like the location. Needs plumbing, electrical, windows, bathrooms, masonry and finishing on walls, heating and cooling, floor refinishing and installation, interior paint, exterior paint, new fixtures and appliances, a roof, landscaping and a lot of refinishing on the original woodwork. Let’s not forget about the fireplace. It would have to be cheap! Thanks for the video.
My Grandma said that she took out the common area in the kitchen and she made it into a 4 person eating area. She put a row of voilets along the main window sill and had a coffee table next to the table. I saw 3 matching chairs - 2 in dining & 1 in living room. Where's the table? You can wash it down & clean it up for the breakfast nook. It would be totally cute! Could we re-apply wallpaper on the walls in the house? I'm sure they had that funky stuff like Grandma had in her house. Her wallpaper was gorgeous! I love the older homes but I can't work on them by myself. I'm fighting health issues. How much is this house selling (*for?) 🎉🎉🎉 Maybe I can get a helper? I'd also add a 2nd apt over top of garage for the kids to stay when they visit.
I love this house. The woodwork downstairs has never been painted. It’s gorgeous. I have to say, this person seems to lack a respectful for history. I’m older, but when I was young, older stuff, like the records, always drew my attention.
HI NIck, I love this house...just the kind of homes I like....Looking up at the front of the house it looks like there was a second floor porch at one time..... when we go to the main bedroom (pink) you can see that they blocked the windows and made a large closet.......I like the old light fixtures in pink room... The house appears to have good bones.. ..clean out all the trash..... it should not be too hard to fix it up.... It is njce to see that some of the original trim on the first floor is still unpainted and that the interior has not been drastically altered.... I would say the main drawback to this property in the limited size of the lot. I also really like the river stone wall in the front and up the drive way side...The house would look great with a wrought iron fence about the stone wall... If this wea my house I would remove some siding to see what is under it..possable original clap boards..maybe some decorative (fish scale) shingles on the gabled areas and possibly on the bays..I have worked on several housed of this vintage and its what we have found under the newer siding.. anyway....GREAT house ... hope to see more tours of houses of this vintage and even older! Keep safe in your travels and explores
Appreciate the kind words and feedback! Looking to showcase a mix of properties but does seem like the older homes are more popular, will see if we can feature more moving forward.
The current "pantry" was actually a breakfast nook. The water closet was probably the pantry. The house is worth the effort but, like you, I don't like the lot.
Most of these situations the people just abandon the home including the stuff inside. Some clients will trash them out prior to selling, others don't so you will see a mix on the channel.

Looks like the bones are in great shape. Just needs some TLC. Hopefully whoever buys it does not destroy the Victorian charm!

Appreciate the kind words, will keep the videos coming!
LOVE tours of these older homes!
Beautiful old house, at least it could be. I actually like the kitchen, and the woodwork is beautiful. Hope it is restored.
I would love to have this adorable house! I sure hope someone buys it and restores it to its former glory.

This one is going to require a few dumpsters to get all that junk out.

I like the footprint.

Oh I love this one too bad I'm not wealthy.
Time to call This Old House. Kind cool though. I'm surprised the guy next door doesn't buy it and make a big garage.
Do you do commercial buildings as well? Really enjoy your content.
No commercial at this time but we never know what the future may hold!

At 4:27/4:28 the front door opens by itself.. I hope you had someone with you.
Enter through the front! Is just odd that you go through the back in.
There could be anitques hiding under all that stuff in the house and basement and garage
How much?
Why do they leave all stuff junk for the next person to get rid of?
