This is the kind of deep dive I seek out when listening to people talk about football. Please do more of this, talk X's & O's more

Love Carlies. Great to hear he's balling out.
Most rookies don't get a ton of playing time 1st year. All these guys are going to do great & be great ambassadors for MIZ FB.

John, thanks for reminding us of the national perspective on Mizzou. Where we are in the AP today #11 today, if that was the final rankings by the CFP committee, we would be the last at large team in, with the 11 seed. Michigan today at #12 today would be first team out (being passed over for the Group of 5 highest team). If we can finish # 11 or higher at year’s end, we are probably in.

Love Badie. Wish we would have played him more instead of Roundtree. We would have won a few more games. I'm happy to hear he's doing well.

They need to evolve everything about the offense. There has been a lack of getting reviewers the ball in motion where they can pick up extra yardage, the underutilized tight ends in the passing game. There is a ridiculous amount of talent and an offensive line that gives the qb time, running backs thar can move the ball well and keep the defense respecting the run. This should be an offense that scores like Texas and Ole Miss, but they don't.

  • @jmfbizzle

I'm not worried about the passing game. If teams want to have two safeties over the top to give up the run, then Noel can rush for 200yds every game, we'll win time of possession by 10mins, & win all of our games by close margins.
If they switch to man coverage, load the box, & creep the QB, cool, we'll throw for 400yds.

How is getting a play through helmet communication an adjustment? I truly dont know but it seems pretty straightforward. And if somehow listening is hard then go back to the old way

It's different, that's all I can say. Just going off what NFL QBs have said about the transition from college.

This offense is too slow !!
The tempo needs to pick up to where the players are reacting and not over thinking .. I think cook isn't just playing, he's over thinking and trying to hard to be perfect..... Just relax and play football fellas !!

Yeah the uniforms were a bit off. They looked yellow to me as well. Gold isn't a great color anyway if it's not shiny/metallic. Purdue's old gold is atrocious.
I like black or white the best.
I like the gold bball jerseys.
Was this games jersey different than the gold jerseys we've used in the past?

I really don't think the offense is "keeping it vanilla" Cook has thrown 35 more passes more this season than he did after four games last year and he had played a lot less time not sure about snaps. I think the offense opens up a little more after the bye though I'm not sure drink has ever lost after a bye week

Not sure why all these fans are freaking out right now.
    We had 442yds to 324yds v Vandy, 58mins to 37mins TOP, 22 1st dwns to 14, 7/17 3rd dwn to 4/14. 3 pens to 8 pens. The game wasn't close statistically.
We missed 3 fgs, gave up 3 on bad coaching at the end of the half. Burden should have caught that pass. Their 1 td in reg was a blown coverages 65yd pass.
These are all easily correctable & shouldn't have happened.
BC should be top 25 right now at 3-1 with wins over FSU & MSU. They're a good team that's going to have 8-9 wins & be ranked at the end of the season.
We had 440yds to 298yds. We blew them out in every statistical category except 8pen for 91yds, which was corrected the following week. Two blown coverages.
If we have a 100yds in penalties, 2 blown coverages, fumbs, ints every game yeah we're going to have a horrible season, but so will any team.
It's all going to be OK. They're going to get the mistakes corrected in the bye week.
My only concern is CB play. Prides blowing coverages every game. He has to learn the def better & be in the correct position. I like Clarke, play him more.
We're going to have a great season. No reason to worry right now.
    MIZ!

Definitely could make an easy case for if Drink doesn’t make that blunder to give them 3 points and Craig makes 2 more field goals out of the 3 he missed, that would have been a 26-17 victory. If you want to push it and make a case that Mizzou can easily turn one more of those drives into a touchdown for 4 more points, it would’ve been 30-17. So if we fix a few things, that would’ve been the final score and we would’ve felt a lot better.

@@JustAFanOfSports Agreed. 3 point blunder by Drink. Make 2 out of 3 missed fgs. That's 9 pts. Burden catches that pass 16pts. Brady throws that pass to a wide open Burden 25pts. Pride doesn't completely miss his coverage & actually covers the WRs 32pts.
There were a ton of unforced errors that should be easily correctable.
No team is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes.
Top notch kickers don't go 2/5 on fgs. #1 WR in the country pulls in balls that hits both hands. Avg SEC CBs don't just blow their coverage assignments.
And all of it doesn't happen in one game (and you still win).
It was a bunch of fluke things against an SEC OPP who is better then ppl think with a top 20 QB.
      Not worried at all.
      6-0 into Tuscaloosa.

If nobody noticed the refs kept holding the game up with the clock running down Missouri couldn't get no tempo clock is hurting down like to 13 seconds sometimes for let him play

Mizzou has plenty of talent. It's coaching and QB that's the problem. If you take Drinkwtiz and his boneheaded game management skills and fired Brady Cook's tunnel vision noodle arm, this would be a legit top ten team.
