I bought Chanel Rouge Noir nail polish & it wasn't great. It's the only nail polish I've ever returned! And that was only because it was so very expensive. These colours are lovely but their formula is so underwhelming. Love your reviews! ❤
Alles Liebe Barbara ❤❤ ❤❤
As someone who owned many of them from earlier years before I discovered the world of indies.... they’re not worth it imo. Too pricey, tricky brush, chips more easily than many other drugstore brands like Essie... the colours are good, and they don’t die in the bottle quickly, but still not worth that expensive price 😩
I have heard this for ages, that high fashion brand nail polish is of far poorer quality than high quality nail polish brands like indie brands. That the fashion brand polishes chip easily and don't self-level as well.
@@Call-me-Al I find Christian Dior to be an exception, quality wise: their brush is easy to use, formula is excellent, and the colour payoff is really nice. The end result has a gel like finish to it, but unfortunately for that reason the polishes get goopy really quickly and demand quicker application. The same can be said about a lot of drugstore or indie gel-like polishes (like Essence), and those have better value price wise than Dior! Chanel ones are just meh in general beside their beautiful packaging hahah
@@femketjeNL if you wanna treat yourself to higher end polishes every once in a while, I strongly recommend Dior’s. Their polishes have good formula, and are really glossy! :3
If a nail polish makes me think that "wow, somehow OPI is starting to feel affordable brand", then that nail polish is out of my prize range...😁😂 Well, never say never. If a polish is really high quality and the shade is something I really want to have, I am ready to spend that 25-30€ for it. But I don't see that I would ever start collecting such expencive nail polishes. Few very special ones would be quite enough for me. 😄❤
@@femketjeNL I thought 'rouge noir' is the iconic color? Bought it once, didn't like the brush and it was a thin formula. Loved the color but the polish is not that good imho; took me the whole evening to let it dry between all the layers, put topcoat on the next morning..
Oh, that second colour (New dawn) is what I like to wear when I'm indecisive about nail polish colour and know would look good on me. The difference is my nail polish costs 2 Euros.
@@femketjeNL well just giving some ideas for us, nail polish addict if Chanel worth it or not I can see the quality of polish when u do D swatch, I also agree that Dior has much better quality on it .. well thx anyway for doing this haul Femke..
I would like just one for my collection! Tfs The indies have gotten my ❤️ now 🥰 Vamp was very iconic because of Pulp Fiction supposedly that’s what Uma Thurman wore in the movie but I heard her say she didn’t but it looks like blood 🩸 Then I think the original Vamp was what’s now A darker color I can’t remember but it’s a lot of attention for her not even wearing it 😅
👀 I do believe the polish she used in pulp fiction was a long discontinued MAC one called Dubonnet. The look in the movie is definitely too bright for it to be Rouge Noir (used to be called Vamp I believe). Essie Wicked is a solid dupe for Rouge Noir ^^
I splurged on their Black Metamorphosis some years back, and I’m still kicking myself for it. It streaked like nothing I’ve ever seen before!! So bummed.
Hi Femke, I'm enjoying your channel so much! And thanks for sharing a review of Chanel polish. I don't even know how much they cost in the US, but they are way overpriced for me. What I seem to understand regarding the differences between drugstore brands, salon brands, and high end brands, it is mostly packaging. And the name. But in terms of formula, brushes, cost, and availability, give me the good ol' regular nail polish so I can have more bottles!!
These polishes are not worth the money in my opinion. The colours are very standard, nothing that requires expensive ingredients or that actually stands out. Ever since I tried indie brands, I don't wanna use anything else (except essence and catrice lol). I would like to see you try out ILNP or Enchanted Polish sometime 🤗💖
I don't think the Chanel nail polish worth the price. I must admit they are quite good, but still not worth the price. Actually you should try their red colour. I have 2 of their red tone, they are definitely good with only 1 coat with short nail. The nail polish brands I like the most are Faby and Leighton Denny. Have you tried them yet?
As I mentioned in the video, I actually get a lot of use out of those in daily life 😉 that way it's not a waste of money for me. If I for example would've chosen red tones, I'd rarely use them 🤭
Happy Friday lovelies
Thank u n same 2 u ❤️

Thank you so much! 💕
Bought it too and was very disapointed! Should have returned it, ik use nailpolish for so long I can tell if it is bad or not. Never again!
I like all the colors but New Dawn is my favorite. Thank you for your swatches & have a good weekend. 💅🏻
You too Rachel 💕

I loved that pink colour...it was beautiful...💟
It's definitely one I'll get a lot of use out of 😊💕

I kinda feel the same now I am dipping my toes into indie brands for the first time, I'd rather spend my money on those :3

Same here, it's fun trying a few but for now I'd rather spend my money on indies or drugstore brands!
And don't judge a polish by its name because I feel a expensive polish should hit it on the first coat!!!!
Exactly! Well said Rhonda 😊
The only Chanel polish I'd get is 'Pirate' as it is their iconic red and has a matching lipstick 🤷
Ooh I haven't seen that shade yet :3

I loved the 2nd color. Definitely out of my price range but maybe one day in the future
Thanks for watching :D
Hii! Femka love your channel so much best wishes for you 💜

Oh wow I've never heard you sound so disappointed before! Tfs your honest opinion
Thanks for watching 😊💕
I love your honesty.💗You are right. There are way better formulas out there.
Definitely! 🙌🏻
Yeaayy been waiting this luxury haul
Next time do more
... But they're actually not that good so why waste money on something I don't feel like is worth it 😅

Supposedly, Madonna wore Vamp in her 'Say Goodbye' music video but perhaps that's a myth too? 😁

Ohno 😣
Hi, this off the topic but what is your full time day job? If you don’t mind me asking. Btw, you have nice nails and polish.
Thank you! I work at a wholesaler of technical installation materials for construction, installation and industry 😊
Did they discontinue Le Top Coat? I only see Le Gel Coat.
I really don't know tbh! Haven't looked at new colours since doing this video 🤭
I also like Chanel but the nail polishes are a bit pricy for me😆 I do like the pink one though😊🌸
💕✨
could you recommend similar colours to new dawn from other brands? :)
Catrice cosmetics and essence have a lot of similar soft shades 😊

Thank you so much!

ooh I know the Faby brand :D I really liked the few ones I have :)
Gorgeous ❤😍✨
Thank you!! 😊
For such an expensive brand why did you choose such neutral and similar colors?

anyone know a dupe for organdi?
I'd suggest trying out some essie polishes, they tend to have a ton of similar soft shades that might match up quite well :)
Nice colors but I dont like the brush 🤷♀️
I prefer it a little wider and rounder too 🤭
So Beautiful Neil police🖤🖤🖤❤️❤️❤️
💕
Indies is best
🙌🏻
Really liked Nuvola Rosa....but I wouldn't buy It though!
Way toooo expensive for me.
They're definitely pricy 😣
Try Nordstrom Beauty
Don't think it's easy to get by where I'm located 😅
Not a fan! I’d rather spend the money on HT!
