Some Black authors who write adult fantasy:
    - P. Djèlí Clark mostly writes alt-historical fantasy, though his latest book is set in a fictional world
    - Nisi Shawl also writes alt-history, this time more steampunk/science-fiction with a hint of magic
    - O. O. Sangoymi just debuted a mythological historical fiction set in 15th century West Africa
    - Analeigh Sbrana writes black fae romantasy and debuted earlier this year
    - N K Jemisin is probably the most award-winning black fantasy author in publishing right now
    - Nalo Hopkinson is a famous black fantasy author here in Canada, don't know if the US knows of her
    - Rivers Solomon mostly writes sci-if, but their novella The Deep also has fantasy elements
    - Rebecca Roanhorse is Black & Indigenous, most of her books focus on Indigenous characters

I love the rage of dragons! I enjoyed book 1 more than book 2 as book 2 is a lot more war-focused. Definitely check out NK Jemisin for adult fantasy. I wasn’t a big fan of Dread Nation but I also hate zombie stuff 😂 Looking forward to a song of wraith and ruin. Also loved beasts of prey.

Great video! I have two series that I think just you might like both by black authors. The Tether Trilogy by Shanora Williams and The Bliss Wars trilogy by L. Penelope. These are Romantasy series and they are sooooooo good! I’ve read all 3 of the bliss wars and the first two of the tether trilogy. I’m waiting for book 3 to come out. These are both adult fantasies.
