I feel like this whole movie should've been about that homeless girl. She was so smart to tell him, "Let's keep it a secret." I would've liked to have seen her story.

Last fifteen minutes were by far the only serviceable part

It was good, but for some reason, I felt that it could have been a miniseries. I feel more could have been done with it. I don't know; something was missing, or something was done too abrupt.

I liked the movie, and Anna Kendrick can shoot the shit out of an intense scene (that parking lot scene was MASTERFUL), but I found the ending very lacking. Like there was still a chunk of the story missing. Still, I’m excited to ser what Anna Kendrick can do next.

Tbf there’s only so much they can put into 1 movie while staying in budget, this is just telling you what they’re able to give and the rest is easy research

This movie was great. If people know going in it’s more about Kendrick’s character then the killer you’ll enjoy it more. Every minute was compelling and it was really unsettling, she did great. The way she made the Dating Game set this dark, oppressive liminal space was brilliant

Anna Kendrick acts like she’s still in the first Twilight movie. Her character served such little purpose. This story could’ve been done much better.

For a directorial debut, i'd give Anna Kendrick props for making a solid start in for her directing skills. The parking lot scene was very suspenseful and creepy af especially how she used wide shots to shot her character walking away from the serial killer, really good stuff. If she wants to continue to direct, i'm very excited to see what she does
This was way better than I expected or a directorial debut. It's not nearly as groundbreaking or special as Jordan Peele's Get Out but it's certainly a solid start

I thought the film was incredible and super intense. I thought the ending for Anna Kendrick’s character was a little rushed, but the film as a whole could be a big Oscars contender imo

Yes, if you enjoy feminist misandry. It has about the same chance of winning awards as Joker 2. 😂

This movie didn't quite work for me. I rather just see a series about Rodney Alcala much like the Dahmer Monster series. Just basing his appearance on a game show with flash back scenes of Alcala 's victims was pretty underwhelming. A series showing how Alcala fell through the cracks of our justice system and his decade long rampage would have made a more engrossing event.

I loved the editing, it didn’t spoon feed you the info of this event and told its story that kept you at the edge of your seat

Hey Austin, why get rid of the score breakdown with acting, story, etc? It was much easier.
Anyways, I've seen it. It's good.

I wasn’t too blown away by the premise but I want to watch it because I love Anna Kendrick (she’s my celebrity crush don’t tell her I said that)

Everybody is trippin! This moved was edited horribly!! Keep it real. This should’ve been a documentary about the runaway . What the hell did that game show have to do with anything?? The black woman’s part didn’t help or tie in at all.

    • @benjaminbreslin8415
      @benjaminbreslin8415 День назад +1

100% it was god awful and had no plot at all

Couldn’t agree more. Anna was WAY out of her depth.

The black woman’s part represented the women who got away from him. They reported him to the police. And yet nobody took them serious just like her. It was only the runaway teen that they could even make the connection.

@@kayanurshiya3778 I get that, still zero influence on the storytelling at all. Zero point in the movie, no consequences shown

A very good movie. It was good to see more from the victim’s point of view than most crime movies. The serial killer was played with the perfect combination of creepiness and charm.

Much like Ted Bundy these serial killers have a certain charisma which victims seem to fall prey to.
