I read that before watching the entire episode and was a bit confused, but yeah no that's exactly what it is, just this surprisingly abrupt "yeah I guess that's better than anything else I could come up with"
I saw that Nathan took twelve minutes leaving only twenty two minutes for the other two and I knew Jacob did something, I knew it
I've had a long day and am on my last braincell, and that render spoke to it directly

The moment the render just faded in, I broke into laughter
it only lasted 4 minutes for the drawing i feel like thats a record
I had this playing while working, so I looked away for 5 seconds and turned back around to see the render fade in after what I thought was only a joke, and suffered an aneurysm to keep from laughing out loud
I had to rewatch the transition cause i thought i had missed something
I'm so glad Nathan caught himself and removed the boat. Jesus running on water after Biden is an image I didn't know I needed.

Jacob’s render fading in and confirming that was indeed the final image while they were still laughing about the bit is the funniest shit I’ve ever seen

Excuse my pedantic addition here, but because I wish people knew the difference (even though I know it's a losing battle at this point), and because I figure this is a nerdy/queer enough crowd to be open to hearing it:
Someone who can be either a top or a bottom is called 'verse' or 'versatile'. This refers to who is penetrating who.
Someone who can be either a dom or a sub is called a 'switch'. This refers to dominance and submission within BDSM.
So for example you can be a dom bottom, or a sub top, or a verse switch (or any other combination)!
Many times I have tried to make Julia's 'New Yorker Cartoon' noise before now, in vain. For whatever reason, the moment she said "are you a top gun or a bottom gun" it just came out of my mouth without me even trying. Witchcraft.

@@katitolgyesi5420 It's a reference to the meme "Loss" which if you don't know was a sudden and jarring tonal shift a comedy webcomic about video games took that became a running joke for just how absurd (and poorly handled) it was, people would remake the pages four panel layout in abstract or minimalist ways
Karina moved the pictures to resemble a famous/infamous web comic known as "Loss." Nathan hinted at it by saying, "I'm at a ~loss~."
It was a 2008 thing.

@@AbsoluteSkycaptain Over the course of a few months, they went from creatively gross euphemisms to what look like excerpts from stories I (mostly) can't track down, to eventually just like, several hundred lines of 2-4 random words apiece.
Then they dip into dramatic statements/orders like:
* Go back upstairs
* McCane died of heart stroke
* The one you held close is false
Before going back to gross euphemisms.
"Wait, he doesnt need a boat, he's JESUS!" had me spitting out my dinner XD ily guys!!!! (and I am SO happy this is a sequel to my fab episode XD)

The one by one realisation of what Karina was doing at the end.... amazing.
They recorded this before July 4th and it’s well into August. I love drawfee because of how much time they put into the rendering of drawings afterwards and the editing of the videos
They did also take a break for a few weeks in that time.

I checked out the gorilla secret so you don't have to. Lead to a 30 min video of a guy mostly talking about how he pissed himself at a theatre once. But the TLDR is the secret was eating some berries from central africa
I don’t know why spam emails lead to insanely long videos that take like 10 minutes to even tell you what the product is. I got one for some kind of book at some point that the subject line was funny enough I decided to click and I gave up before I even got the title

My guess: spammers are looking for the kind of person who will just go with the flow of mindlessly clicking on a headline and watching a long video, because someone with that lack of self control is more likely to buy the thing (and having spent time watching it starts creating a little bit of sunk cost fallacy, too).

Hey Drawfee, this is super unrelated but I wanted to say a sort of thank you to you guys. I just got back from my first visit to New York to do college visits. I like the city, even if it’s scary and a big change. And one thing that really inspired me to go for New York and see something new is the fact that you guys are able to live in New York as artists and still be enjoying life, it showed me I don’t have to have everything figured out, that I can be creatively fulfilled. I want to be a writer, I want to chase my dreams, and Drawfee kind of inspired me to do that. So, thanks, for everything. I realize that’s a bit of a weird thing to put under a video that says “Biden’s gorilla secret” in the thumbnail but I felt it had to be said regardless

Actual grown up advice, apologies in advance, but New York State schools have very reasonable tuition. I’m from NJ and the in state tuition for Jersey was the same as out of state NY and it’s still the same. Absolutely worth checking out!
Also, don’t feel locked in to seeking a conservatory program. I have BAs in visual arts and theatrical design, and an MFA in costume design. I’m a costume designer, that’s my full time job, but a lot of the people I went to school with who have their dream gig (actor or playwright or writer) I knew in undergrad.

Drawing suggestion: draw each other into an isekai. Example- Nathan is king of dinosaurs in a prehistoric world; Karina uses a Digimon deck in a YuGiOh-esque dimension; Julia is a Drawtective in an isekai full of vampires; and Jacob is the leader of a bunch of little guys rebelling against hot villains.

At first, I wondered whether this episode would have the same energy as the original spam emails episode. But then Nathan started to draw the fork, and in that moment, I knew.

When i saw all 3 drawings side by side during the Patreon scroll it really gave me "The Evolution of Man" vibes.
It's been some time now but I'd like to thank whoever took the decision and executed the idea of putting images of the things they mention on screen cause not only do I not know every American name for things that get translated in my language, I'm also not very knowledgeable pop culture wise
Seeing the render for Jacobs and realising that was _it_ made me laugh so hard that it felt like I'd been punched in the gut

Idea for a speed draw: Make an illustration/comic page using the "Marvel method". One person comes up with the idea, another draws it, a third one inks, the last one colors, and then the first person letters if needed.
It's kind of finishing each other's art, kind of exquisite corpse.
I was so intrigued as to what could've caused Julia to deploy the "Stop this now!" voice that's so often directed at her for deleting her art/drawing crimes...completely warranted, what a master move by Karina o7

I’m so delighted that there’s a sequel to one of my fave episodes! When they posited that Biden was just taking advantage of his own sale, that was great. Jacob’s quick draw was so unexpected but so good. The Jimmy Neutron on Donkey Kong was not a connection I’d thought to make but I’m glad it exists. Great job!
