Hi guys, try and watch the full version of the 2024 Republic Day parade, it's really good. The theme this year was 'women empowerment' so that's why there are mainly women in the parade. I live in the UK and I'm from Indian Punjabi heritage a bit like yourselves. I don't think the state of Punjab sent a float to the parade this year 😢. All states are offered a slot in the parade and it's up to each individual state whether they submit a float. The military bit at the beginning is really good and so is the cultural dance at the end. It's really good. 😊❤
All state did did not shows their tableau in this republic day. Many state did not shows their state tableau including my state Mizoram and some BJP ruled state and almost all oppostion ruling state.
This year women empowerment was main theme

India is diverse as humans can get. To hold the nation together, such parades are necessary to emphasis on unity over regional nationalism.
Britian isnt a diverse at its core . Unity in UK comes from homogenous nature of that society. Same with france, china and japan etc. These are ethno states with homogeneous culture
