The Manipur tableux depicts local women holding on to the very long tradition of making silk out of lotus stalk fibers. Those delicately made silk threads are woven into clothes. It is the only known indigenously produced vegan silk that do not involve animals and are conducted almost entirely by the women of serene mountainous and forested Manipur.

These Tableaus representing different states of india were not to sale tourism of India but they are supposed to display the diversity of India. These tableaus from different states were always part of the Republic day parade since 1950, when the first parade was held. India is diverse and united.
