As someone who has watched this rivalry for going on 40 years now, I can say that Purdue better come out and play their A game. Even if Purdue does play their A game, I can see this being very close. I fully expect someone on IU to be hitting 3's like they never have before. I expect their center to dominate because of his size advantage. I also expect Purdue to play with heart and play hard every minute of the game. I got Purdue winning by 3-4 points with each team going on runs. I still remember Woody Austin somehow winning with a team that had like one Purdue guy on it that could dunk against a top 10 IU team. IU won by 40 at Bloomington and they thought they would own Purdue at home. It didn't happen. The gap between these teams today is far less than back when Woody Austin played.
Per usual, this game will be decided by: Turnovers, Rebounds, and Foul Shooting. Win at least two of those three categories, and chances are you win the game.
Great players, fantastic young men! So glad wearing Black and Gold! Best of luck tomorrow guys!
Gacarri and CJ are going to be fantastic. Love the coach, program and players
