  • Satka, a magnesium mining city located on the western slope of the southern Urals, had just like many other cities in Russia in the 90's and the 00's, many 2hand buses in traffic from Western Europe. The old (primary) Volvo and Scania buses, were at least twice as old as their locally produced buses, but of much higher quality. Unfortunately, the Russian buscompanies could not afford to buy spareparts for their imported buses, parts that easily could cost ten times more than same kind for their Ikarus, Laz or LiAZ buses. So 2hand imported buses mostly had very short active life in Russia. Bad quality of fuel and engine oil, lack of skills from mechanics, or just plain indifference contributed to the short (after)life.

Nice Buses :) Wiima K202 HKL-Bussiliikenne and Aabenraa. But our city has much more Wiima K202 Volvo B10M buses than Aabenraa Volvo B10M buses. Wiima K202 buses sounds as good as Aabenraa buses.
