I love listening to Letizia. She's not boring. Learning a lot from her.
It is a most handsome painting..one that I could endure viewing time and time again. The gorgeous shades draws one in. Beautiful depth...
There is a recording from the Frick Collection introducing this same exhibition which shows the other paintings.
Where might one find that??
I HATE that she keeps trying to bring attention to OTHER paintings, the video person must have been..... out to lunch..or fell asleep.
Superb talk! Thank you!
Will you be posting Jerry Brotton's lunchtime talk from this past Monday? It was about the sale of King Charles I art collection.
Wish viewer were shown pictures being referred to.
Again, why not show the other pictures in the room, the ones she's discussing. It would be most helpful to see them for the comparisons the curator is talking about. The paintings are the stars, not the curator. Also, terrible audio. I'd love to see the brushwork that Gainesborough admired so much!!
Pity one cannot see in the later part of the video the portraits described by the curator.
This video's sound is in horrible condition. It skips and drops out very much. Very distracting from the art and the talk.
Having recorded audio, it's something you often only discover when the recording is complete 😞
Good pronunciation of English in contrast to Waldemar‘s. To my opinion the best paintings of Murillo are those of the Holy Mary.
great exposition
Can't help feeling that the traditional framing of the Frick Murillo impedes the painting....its forcing a narrow shape on the piece when it needs more breathe.
It's possible that the frame is original to the painting though the frame is unfortunate.
PLEASE EDIT THE SUBTITLES - VERY MANY MISTAKES - AS "REYNAUD" FOR REYNOLDS, etc. also ms. TREVES SHD. SHOW THE OTHER WORKS SHE REFERS TO! THE ENGRAVERS COULD CLEVERLY DRAW THE IMAGES ALREADY IN REVERSE, SO HER POINT IS MISTAKEN AS WELL...
Its a shame to see this describing of number of pictures in the room without actually seeing them. Not well done.
why does not th camera focus upon th pictues she is talking abt ? NOT GOOD >
George Lloyd because this was an exhibition talk. You’re supposed to *go* to the exhibition to see the work not just get it for free on RUclips.

Now some of these lectures show pics that are referenced by the lecturer. This annoyingly does not - even with stuff in the same room!
🇹🇷😍🤗Türkiyede n SEVGİLER...💖😍
For my fellow Americans: When Letizia says " in-VEN-try", she is 'really' saying "inventory".
It took me a few minutes and had to double check with the captions.
世
Intro is not RUclips suitable.
In what way?
