- I bought this Makita miter saw from a local thrift shop for $29. It was functional but was missing some parts and had seen better days. This video was the process I used to get it working and looking like new. I ended up having to spend roughly $70 extra full replacement parts.
I'm bidding on this model of saw on an online auction. I was looking for reviews and came across your video. I admire your tenacity and the final result. I assume it worked would have been nice to hear you fire it up. Thank you for taking the time to do this and share.
Love! And thank you for not adding music to the video!!
Interesting to watch. I have the 15" model and just replaced the bearings.
Very nice well done 👏
I was watching this to figure out how to recompress the spring. Of course it would be the one single thing that is out of sight of the camera🙄
i'm watching this for the copper coil things that fit around the brush holders. my machine burnt both of them out and the little copper coil things are unavailable, whatever they are called. i can buy a new motor assembly to get them but id prefer not to. the coils you installed dont look like the ones that came out of it. one of them seemed stretched. did you put new ones in? where did you get therm?
