I love how the show doesn't glance over Sammy's death after he's gone. Often times characters who die in a show get a final memorial episode and they aren't really mentioned anymore after that. But in Dance Academy the others still have small conversations about him, they bond over their grief even 'long' after he's gone. That's how it happens in real life as well

So the first time I watched this, I loved Christian and Tara. I was all for it and I didn't like Ben and Tara. But now that I've watched it for the 6th time, I am now loving Ben and Tara far more than Christian and Tara. Christian constantly plays this game where he likes Tara only when it's on his terms. They broke up the first time because Tara tried to help him and he pushed him to get to know his dad. Then he wound up getting to know his dad. Then, when he hears that Tara might be leaving the academy because she might be the Prix champion he wants to try and tell her that he loves her even though it will distract her. And come this season, Christian gets jealous because she's with Ben and Tara doesn't even try to make the relationship work very well. I think this goes to show the writers always wanted Christian and Tara to be end game because I think that Ben's character could have grown a lot more with an arc considering his leukemia and all that. They did a lot better in the movie, but honestly, I think Ben would have been much better for Tara overall. The writer's kind of half-assed season 3.

Okay honestly? Tara and Christian are a great couple. Yes they have differences and fights in the past but let's remember that they were young and didn't know how to solve or talk out these things. Rewatching now I have a better understanding of why Christian reacted the way he did. He was a jerk and his outburst came out of nowhere (as opposed to in the past, it was in the heat of a moment where something bad happened to him), which makes this so frustrating. But, I think he lashed out because he realized how strong his feelings and connection with Tara is, and it scares him. As we know, his first response is to run away, and though he's working on being better now, there's something about his feelings for Tara that he has yet to deal with. He uses not wanting to hurt Ben as a scapegoat to avoid confronting this issue, but he obviously didn't want to actually hurt Ben regardless (but of couse he didn't think of this when he stayed with Tara all night..another stupid move on his part). It's so clear that he feels very strongly for Tara, but it's the one thing he has yet to confront and figure out for himself.
Christian saying "You expect me to just be 'that person'" is the key to all of this. Deep down he loves Tara and yearns for her, but in his mind a relationship with her equates to having to be a different person and reach higher standards, almost be someone like Ben. So he pushes Tara away whenever she tries to open that romantic door again, and keeps his real feelings inside. Christian is essentially more content with longing for her, having short glances and conversation rather than actually try to have a better relationship with her and deal with his fears of expectations. And then of course add in this particular situation, where he doesn't want to hurt Ben and lose him as a friend. So Tara pushing to break up with Ben immediately after the night she and Christian had together all to possibly get back together stresses him out.

She cheated on two other guys to be with Christian and did not cheat on him, so I'm going to say that she should be with him.
While I love to see Ben and Tara together. I dont believe Cristian is intentional trying to hurt her. He is dealing with self esteem issue, being abondon and feeling of being unworthy. There is no way to tell wether you actually miss the person or just the memory. Unless you try it out. But of course you can't do that as both parties of the new couple are you friends. And they are happy together. Or... are they? You know your ex-partner so well, is that not a glimpse of unhappiness you see in them? And, as a friend, is it not your dutie to make sure they are fine? Surely enough it is. So you go up to your friend, you ask wether they are okay. As you ask the question you realize that you want them to be okay. You want them to be happy with their new partner, you don't wish to win them back. So as you ask your question, hoping for a 'Yes'... they say 'No'. They let shine through that they haven't forgotten their feelings for you, either. So what do you do? Walk away, leave them hurt and crying? Even though you are not yet sure you're the only reason they cry? But what would that say about your qualities as a friend? So you stay. You comfort a friend in need. Or so you think. But then you hear those three words. From a person you thought you'd never hear them say to you again. What do you do? What would all of you do?

While I love to see Ben and Tara together. I dont believe Cristian is intentional trying to hurt her. He is dealing with self esteem issue, being abondon and feeling of being unworthy. Tara knows how good he is and could be. Tara holds him at a higher standard than he holds himself and I feel he is afraid he can't live up to it so he lashes out and pushes her away.

Of course he is immature and a lil on and off but honestly, both Tara and Christian are trying so bad to get rid of the love they have for each other, but it’s a bond that’s unbreakable and it’s obvious they belong to each other. And as Christian said, there are times when he diesen even wanna be around Tara and there’s times she’s the only one. Tara and Ben make great friends but it just doesn’t work for a relationship whereas Christian and Tara, even though they’ve had their differences, are meant for each other.

I really understand why everyone is disliking Christian here, but you guys have to try and see this from his prospective.
Seeing the person you've wanted to always be with, be with someone else, it's though. Long forgotten (or suppressed) feelings wash up and it's not easy to know where to put them. Is it jealously because you realize what you've lost? Or is it just the trace of an emotion you've trained yourself to feel for a long time? There is no way to tell wether you actually miss the person or just the memory. Unless you try it out. But of course you can't do that as both parties of the new couple are you friends. And they are happy together. Or... are they? You know your ex-partner so well, is that not a glimpse of unhappiness you see in them? And, as a friend, is it not your dutie to make sure they are fine? Surely enough it is. So you go up to your friend, you ask wether they are okay. As you ask the question you realize that you want them to be okay. You want them to be happy with their new partner, you don't wish to win them back. So as you ask your question, hoping for a 'Yes'... they say 'No'. They let shine through that they haven't forgotten their feelings for you, either.
So what do you do? Walk away, leave them hurt and crying? Even though you are not yet sure you're the only reason they cry? But what would that say about your qualities as a friend? So you stay. You comfort a friend in need. Or so you think. But then you hear those three words. From a person you thought you'd never hear them say to you again. What do you do?
