A friend of mine runs Bloodgift in Rakdos, Lord of Riots and It is fun to see someones face when they are offered a card from the trigger... That enables Rakdos to come in
Arachnogenesis for the win! Nick straight up was looking into the abyss when that craterhoof was being flickered and having those roided out creatures coming at him, but he didn't blink.
He has so many different ways to build him. And so many single card combos. Albeit imperfect ones. Like mindcrank, necropotence, exquisite blood, or trepanation blade. He was my first edh build and to this day is my favorite
I know this is very nitpicky, but at 15:26 Rishkar, Peema Renegade can't put both +1/+1 counters on himself. It says each of up to two target creatures. It didn't matter anyway, but I just wanted to comment and say hi too.
5:10 you had me the most confused when you said Eric was being attacked by Ben when he was actually attacking Chris haha. I was rewinding to look at the curse I went to look up rulings on curses and then looked up the ruling on that curse specifically when I should’ve just waited 10 more seconds to figure out what was going on hahaha
Finally! A Pharika deck that works! Also, I loved the interactions between each deck. They all had answers at the right time while carrying their momentum.
It was big but understandable When you are in monoG and lose a counter war with someone playing blue you usually just understand that everything has gone wrong And Thrun's been killed so many times before that the player might have just be a little upset But as you said, plague wind
It’s nice to see a Pharika deck work that well. I’ve been trying to figure out how to build her, as every other god from theros is pretty clear on how to build.
Slight Misplay at the end by Eric: Rishkar cannot put both +1/+1-counters on himself, but can put up to one +1/+1-counter on each of up to two creatures. But it wouldn't have changed anything, if I'm correct.
5:46 As it isn't mentioned anywhere else in the comments, it seems like casting Massacre Girl, wiping the complete board, when having a board advantage and also without attacking prior or dropping two lands with Wayward, was somehow an obvious play? Without much risk, Nick could have gotten three flying damage on any opponent, Eric could have blocked exactly one creature, Ben could have blocked 3, Chris 6, and Nick had 7 attackers. So just send the Gilded at his owner Chris for taking the Dryad earlier, and also get a 2/2 in the process, attack Eric with like 3 Saps and deal one, and have the rest, Wayward and 3 Zombies, visit Ben just to squeeze in 2 damage, and forcing him to activate his drawdamage that instant or never, which would leave him open to attack from Eric, should Eric decide not to block. After all that, if Nick wants to, he can still wipe everythin and keep a 4/4 on board. He would maybe, I confess, have taken 1 more damage himself, as he'd have created a Zombie that might have died with Vengeful on the board. So, I feel like I am missing something crucial here, but if not, please enlighten me on those two points: Why wipe in that situation? And why not swing beforehand?
I view it more as just having fun with the game over going for the optimal plays. It is the same reasoning for Temple Bell. It isn't the best card for card draw/advantage but it was the one he decided to play. This was why I was rooting for Nick this game. I tend to play highly optimized decks so I like to root for the underdog when I see a deck like Chris's deck in the same pod. I cheered when Nick played Arachnogenesis. Other than all this there was no reason not to attack first as you said.
At 14:15 the cyclonic rift was targeting the war hammer but all of his permanents had hexproof because of heroic intervention right? Even though overloaded cyclonic rift says each, the normal casts says target so that shouldn’t have worked, right??
I was rooting so much for Nick this game. When Chris used Deadeye Navigator to flicker Craterhoof twice I was hoping so much Nick had a fog effect. Great game overall. You said Chris conceded because he was dead on the crack back but what I saw was he was dead to the Bloodgift Demon trigger as it can target any player. I know that interaction well.
I'm struggling to see what I'm missing, did Nick not have lethal the turn he played the Bloodgift Demon? I see only one blocker, one open mana, and 1 life on Chris' board, and Nick could have attacked with both Pharika and the Snake token?
Nick didn't even need to attack: for ultimate insult points, he could target Chris with the Bloodgift Demon's trigger and drain his last life point that way. I once knocked an opponent down to 2 life and finished him off with Sign in Blood; it was glorious.
What an awesome game! I was pulling for Thrun to win! Is there any chance I could get the Thrun deck list sent to me? I know you don’t have lists in the description but I was interested in seeing how the deck was built!
It has happened to me many times. When playing aggro or voltron the best plan is usually to kill a opponent a time (likely, you'll kill first the one playing a color combination or commander that hoses your deck) But killing a player too early makes the match kinda boring so we spread the damage. And then we lose. 😆
Why didn’t Nick swing with the snake as well as Pharika on the turn before he won? It looked like there was only a beast to block and Chris was at 1. Am I missing something?
Another exciting video, however, correct me if I'm wrong I observed 2 misplays near the end of the video @16:30: 1) Craterhoof Behemoth can only flicker once because Deadeye Navigator's ability says "Exile *this* creature." Once it's flickered, it will no longer have the activated ability when it enters the battlefield as a new object. 2) When Craterhoof Behemoth is flickered, it should be affected by summoning sickness because it is a new object and can't attack on the same turn, unless I missed out any haste enablers.
At that point in time, devotion to G/B appears to be 6, and thus Pharika is not a creature, as all bi-color Gods need devotion 7. (2{MG} + 1{Swordtooth} + 2{Pharika} + 1{Curse})
Fetchlands don't have a color identity, which is what is restrictive in EDH. Since they're colorless for commander purposes, even a monored deck can run Scalding Tarn.
Aw, I wanted to see the bloodgift demon trigger finish.
A friend of mine runs Bloodgift in Rakdos, Lord of Riots and It is fun to see someones face when they are offered a card from the trigger... That enables Rakdos to come in
This is the most Sultai game of commander I have ever seen.

Arachnogenesis for the win! Nick straight up was looking into the abyss when that craterhoof was being flickered and having those roided out creatures coming at him, but he didn't blink.
I was sure that flickering Hoof was going to be game, but that I'm glad I was wrong. What a good play.
@@andrewlawton7447 for real. Arachnogenesis has got to be the best fog spell in the game. I should get that for my Angel token deck.
@@andrewlawton7447 I've been "fogged" so many times that I kind of see that coming 😆
Craterhoof Behemoth: "Once again i will bring victory!"
Arachnogenesis: "Nope."
Chris's first two turns cost more than my rent.
Syr Konrad is one of the best cards from Eldraine. He's got such a massively good ability and he's beefy as heck.
I find him to be a little too expensive, but he is a powerhouse
I've built an EDH deck with him. It's damn good.
Him and Torbran are my favorite commanders from the set
I have him as a win con in gitrog and Karador since they self mil a lot
He has so many different ways to build him. And so many single card combos. Albeit imperfect ones. Like mindcrank, necropotence, exquisite blood, or trepanation blade. He was my first edh build and to this day is my favorite

That was so much fun to watch. That ending was probably one of the best finishes I've ever seen
5:10 you had me the most confused when you said Eric was being attacked by Ben when he was actually attacking Chris haha. This was one of the closest matches I’ve seen on the channel in recent memory. Really great gameplay!
Finally! A Pharika deck that works! Also, I loved the interactions between each deck. They all had answers at the right time while carrying their momentum.
I love Nick's Snake tokens...
I love how none of the 4 commanders are outstandingly dominant. They make for the best games!
Would love to see the Pharika list.
The Heroic Intervention mistake from Eric was big, but he wouldn't have survived Plague Wind either.
It was big but understandable
When you are in monoG and lose a counter war with someone playing blue you usually just understand that everything has gone wrong
And Thrun's been killed so many times before that the player might have just be a little upset
But as you said, plague wind
Wow this was a great game, super interactive with a tight finish, and every deck performed well. This is one of the best on the channel.
It’s nice to see a Pharika deck work that well. I’ve been trying to figure out how to build her, as every other god from theros is pretty clear on how to build.
That was a great game. I love Pharika and glad to see the token strategy working wonders.
This was the best game I have seen on this channel. Well played gents...very well played.
SHEOL-DEER!!! OMG HAHAHAHAHHA!
The preadeer!
They missed the opportunity to say sheoldr-elk😂
Almost chocked on a cashew when the arachnogenesis hit the stack ;p
Pharika and Sidisi. Two of my favourite commanders in one episode!
So much green and black...plus I'm pretty certain that Chris' opening hand is worth more than the sum total of my commander deck!
Slight Misplay at the end by Eric: Rishkar cannot put both +1/+1-counters on himself, but can put up to one +1/+1-counter on each of up to two creatures. But it wouldn't have changed anything, if I'm correct.
Excited to see you on Playing With Power this weekend Muddstah!! (:

Damn I just did not realize it was Thursday already
Ikr? It felt like Monday was just yesterday.
That arachenogenesis was absolutely phenomenal
Very nice game! 14:00 - 14:38 was fire
Those final turns were really fun to watch.
I wish we could see the full deck list, that Pharika deck looks sick
At 14:15 the cyclonic rift was targeting the war hammer but all of his permanents had hexproof because of heroic intervention right? Even though overloaded cyclonic rift says each, the normal casts says target so that shouldn’t have worked, right??
Actually the way it got resolved in the stack made it possible, NEVERMIND lol
This has been one of the most enjoyable games to watch in a while. Nice work guys
That BM, not killing Chris with the snake, so he could get the kill with the Bloodgift Demon
WOW, those last few turns actually made me yell! Great plays by everyone at the table!
I think Chris had more money on the table turn 2 than all 5 of my edh decks put together
I'm struggling to see what I'm missing, did Nick not have lethal the turn he played the Bloodgift Demon? I see only one blocker, one open mana, and 1 life on Chris' board, and Nick could have attacked with both Pharika and the Snake token?

Cool Pharika build! Glad to see it do work!
Massacre Girl is just an amazing card it's not overpowered but when it goes off like it should it's just amazing.
Damn how I miss playing Commander
Great game Muddstah, really cool commanders once again.
What an awesome game! I was pulling for Thrun to win! Is there any chance I could get the Thrun deck list sent to me? I know you don’t have lists in the description but I was interested in seeing how the deck was built!
I love a Sidisi value deck (instead of zombies). In this case, it's also a high value $$$ deck too
Love how close of a game this was
So is there any reason in particular Ben didn't kill Chris after casting Plague Wind?
EDH!! Excited to get out for some games tomorrow night. Any chance shops around you are opening anytime soon?
Not likely.
Part way through you started calling Chris, Eric 😂
4:17 5:05 you Call Chris, Eric, it got me really confused at first
*He casts Deadly Tempest*
"Snake, Snake, SSNNAAAKKKKKKEE!"
*Continue?*
9:11 Oko: “ um ACTUALLY it’s an *elk* “
I was really hoping Thrun would win, but Eric seemed to spread the damage out too much rather that knock the others out 1 at a time.
It has happened to me many times.
When playing aggro or voltron the best plan is usually to kill a opponent a time (likely, you'll kill first the one playing a color combination or commander that hoses your deck)
But killing a player too early makes the match kinda boring so we spread the damage. And then we lose. 😆
Why didn’t Nick swing with the snake as well as Pharika on the turn before he won? It looked like there was only a beast to block and Chris was at 1. Am I missing something?
Maybe he wanted insurance if the Arachnogenesis ate a counterspell, and the game would be over anyway if he untapped with the Bloodgift Demon.
Auras and equipments doesn't tap when the creature attacks.
Never seen sewer nemesis before but that's a pretty alright card, sadly it isn't a zombie. Its art is also spooky.
Really great game. Thanks Muddstah!
Wait a minute... these are all the same camera!!! I just realized that! My illusion has been shattered!
So why didn’t nick attack Chris with everything when he was tapped out seems like that would have ended it
I was looking for a comment that said the same thing. He attacked with phareka when he also had a snek to attack with too, which would have ended it.
The last dmg wouldn't of been from the swing back... It would of been 1 dmg during upkeep from bloodgift
Waaaait a minute here, is that the music for battle block theater in the intro
Seeing vengeful dead and Sidisi makes me want to see a 4 player zombie tribal match
Another exciting video, however, correct me if I'm wrong I observed 2 misplays near the end of the video @16:30:
1) Craterhoof Behemoth can only flicker once because Deadeye Navigator's ability says "Exile *this* creature." Once it's flickered, it will no longer have the activated ability when it enters the battlefield as a new object.
2) When Craterhoof Behemoth is flickered, it should be affected by summoning sickness because it is a new object and can't attack on the same turn, unless I missed out any haste enablers.
1) Craterhoof re-soulbonds to Deadeye upon re-entering.
2) Craterhoof has haste.
Another example of best starting hands stays to the end.
I have to know where nick got those snake tokens i want one so bad if anyone can send me a link or info please!
But Chris doesn't die on the swing back. He dies on upkeep to the demon targeting him to draw a card and lose 1 life
At 6:50, shouldn't Pharika have died from the Massacre Girl?
At that point in time, devotion to G/B appears to be 6, and thus Pharika is not a creature, as all bi-color Gods need devotion 7. (2{MG} + 1{Swordtooth} + 2{Pharika} + 1{Curse})
No, as there wasn't enough devotion after the smaller creatures died, so she turned into an enchantment
Devotion was 5 at that point, so Pharika wasn't a creature.
This conclusively proves spiders are the scariest things on Innistrad
Now that was a great game!
I was always told Sidici can only get one Zombie per instance even if u mill 3 creatures! 🤷🏼♂️
You are correct!
I don't understand the Konrad build at all. I don't think I have a single card other then basics that I've seen in either of my Konrad decks lol
I received an order of cards today, and I hear 7:07 literally as I opened a seedborn muse. Freaky
How does sidisi have a scalding tarn. She doesn't have red
Fetchlands don't have a color identity, which is what is restrictive in EDH. Since they're colorless for commander purposes, even a monored deck can run Scalding Tarn.
@@MTGMuddstah huh. The more u know. I had never seen that before
Does Eric not realize the Greaves gives his creature shroud?
Lol you kept calling Chris Eric throughout the video. So confusing lol.
Another thrun player. My version is a voltron style.
Why does Pharika already lives after playin massacre Girl?
Looking for inspiration, or help, with a Thrun voltron type deck, anyone have a budget friendly one they could share? Seeking to spend less than $200.
Tom S Crim built a Thrun deck for me on Commander Clash about two seasons ago. I don’t think it was expensive, but it might give you an idea!
LOL! “Sheoldeer”
great game
The bloodgift demon could’ve won the game on its trigger
Nice game.
this was an epic game
very nice game
Good game
SPIDER FOG!!!
Spider fog
Spider fog
Does whatever a spider... Fog
I made a mistake.
Oof board wipe city omg wow soo many boardwipes!!!
Thank god Craterhoof didn't win the game. I am so fucking tired of seeing Craterhoof win games.
What a fun game. I enjoy when one person just dosen't combo off and run away with it in 4 turns
