  • Highest tide for 30yrs & wind estimated at 65-70mph, thought I would film it for the record.

Many thanks Ian, I used to live in Forest Road, Meols, 200 yards from the prom where I would walk my dog most days. That was in 1965 - 68 when I was 11 - 14 years old. Was wondering how peeps were doing during the storm surge, glad you survived, great footage, hope residents didn't suffer too much damage. Take care, stay safe, cheers

36 holes around Royal Hoylake would have been interesting that day.

Wonder how they went on at Hilbre Island?..................Or indeed, if it still exists, even?

Brilliant; I was clearly wrong about the prom being closed, but I wouldn't have driven along it!

Well about half an hour before I shot this the prom was more of a fast flowing river, so no cars would travel along it, Meols end was closed for a time as the pavement & railings were being ripped up by the tide!

You can imagine the earth without water, water balances the shape of the earth, and its revolving or orbiting around its self, and the sun. Ebb and tide are considered as a safety vale for the earth, and its rotation.
Earth with water slows its revolving...
The water increased because of the melting of ice caps of polars and Himalayas, therefore the force of revolving increases too...
    NOW:The length of the year now is [ 365 1/4 +_(2 minutes )]...
These studies was completed and sent on July 26th 2000...
