It boggles my mind to know the stores are throwing away perfectly good stuff. It is nice for you and I certainly don't begrudge you getting it because you're working hard for it.. everything a store throws in the dumpster is a write-off which equates to prices being raised to offset the loss.

I know!! It's just the surface of what they have tossed. I got an entire succulent section one night. Then another, I got a ton of hibiscus trees and bushes. Even braided branch hibiscus. We have busy planting! Thanks for tagging along.
If those orchids live through being tossed, the best way to water them is put a piece of ice on top of the soil. That way they aren't over saturated. Too much water will drown the roots and they will rot. Great haul.
Aww the flowers... My daughter n i have checked ours since watching urs but no luck... She wasn't convinced that it would be awesome finds for her business until i showed her urs ..well she doesnt feel comfortable do it yet but i do just cant seem to catch ANYTHING... I know it sounds crazy but take the orchids and put them in the coolest shadiest place around your house and they'll survive I used to be a plumber and I work for a lady who had them on the side of her house and sold them in the middle of summer it was always cool and dark and Shady and that's how she made her living so I know she knew what you was talking about good luck brother

I've noticed it's hit or miss with Home Depot. Only a few home depot I go to throw them out like this. The others have been nothing really.
