      From Doug's Yellow Hawk Customs/Outdoors website* >> ".. the quickest/easiest way to get hold of us is by texting Doug Wilson on his cell phone!!! #443-315-6033." You can also get a fairly accurate estimate from the pics in his gallery from one of those with prices included in the caption. *www.yellowhawkcustomkydex.com/

    on Farro rod striker screws is there a reason you don't use a flathead screw so in an emergency! you could use your your knife to get it out?

    • @mikem7571
      @mikem7571 8 лет назад

      Unless Doug is using a different nut and bolt/screw pairing .. and I'm pretty sure he isn't .. the nut can be unscrewed with a penny. Unless the bolt comes past flush, that is. After reading your Q I tried it with my newest YHC sheath and a penny does the trick or anything as thin as one. A wide enough flathead screwdriver for sure. A dime is a bit too thin but does work eventually.

      +Mike M I'm gonna have to keep a penny on me now thank for the idea

      A washer .. the spine of the blade in a gentleman's pocket knife .. a couple of keys on my keychain work. However, when it comes time to tighten it back something's gotta grip the Phillips screw, too..

      +Mike M yeah but if it was a last option you wouldn't need to put the screw back on. everyone should have a striker on them but if it gets lost or you forgot it and really needed one it's nice to have it ready

      Here is the cool thing. That's one way to do it, however, until I realize the benefits, you can put any type of screw in that u want. I will have to check this idea out.
