There actually were more Hissatsu Shigotonin games - the most notable was a Saturn action-platformer game simply called "Hissatsu!" which starred four of the most popular lead characters from the series. You could pick two of the four and switch between them freely during gameplay. Sadly the rest of the Hissatsu Shigotonin games were pachinko simulators for the Dreamcast.

I love the Saturn game for how simple and efficient it is; a good little action-platformer. I always suspected it was planned for the Super Famicom originally, given its lack of technical ambition, but this means it aged better than most early 3D action games of that era.
Regarding this FC game, I gotta say it is hilarious to see Banpresto give their usual SD/Compachi treatment to such a bloody _chanbara_ series.

This is a 3 megabit MMC3 game with battery back-up, but that price is most likely because this wouldn't be printed in large amounts as it is from the waning days of the Famicom and adult players are more likely to go for bigger tech by now. The presentation here is really nice though, not the best the MMC3 can do, but pretty great. Most of the cartridge space is for all the text in the game. It's short and ignores repetitive play. This is how adventure games SHOULD be. It's not wonder it is so highly regarded.

This one looks kinda interesting for what it is... but I bet it's more fun if you actually know this series. Well, to this day MacVenture-style games are associated with the 8-bit period in the West and there are actually quite a few throwbacks; I checked that out not too long ago, and I easily found around a dozen games 'clearly' inspired by the MacVenture series. This is perhaps not particularly surprising, seeing that this is essentially all NES owners had at the time. The more Japanese iteration never really found an audience elsewhere to the same extent, but I guess even those are more popular than ever these days.
