great job guys i have the pedal and couldnt figure out some stuff and you helped where i was having trouble with the units own directions guess i do better when some one shows me thx
This is actually a really good demo/overview. You know how to articulate the features of this. We need way more sales people in music stores that are accountable about the right product for a customer and more who are armed for bear with product knowledge. You are good with this product.
@Sam Wilson - it's more of a gear demo than a review specifically. Hence why not more care was given to the sound aspect of the video. But thanks for checking it out!
Sorry to gush, but I just watched this again. It's a really good demo. Now I want one! Just for kicks. I just got a Zoom A2.1u pedal because I wanted a small battery-powered pedal (with a volume pedal) for my Taylor GS Mini as my carry-on flying guitar package. I like this A3 though. Very cool features and power and CHEAP. Thanks for the great demo. Keep them up.
He's says "there's nothing like this on the market" @ 12:25. Isn't this just like the Fishman Aura? I mean other than the fact that the Aura cost almost twice as much.
I like the A2.1u also. since you've used them both, can you tell me something about the live usability of the A3? What I liked was the volume pedal and the easy, foot activated switching between presets. Ergonomically, physically, will the A3 be ok in this regard? switching between 2 or 3 sounds instantly with the foot. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for commenting. To be honest - there’s a ton of stuff you can check. However - I don’t work for Zoom so this isn’t official help. I would check your power supply, check that your outlet/power bar is grounded, check your battery, also - how much gain are you using? (Older tube amps at high volume and gain do tend to hiss). You may also just have a defective or broken unit.
I think being able to choose only 2 effects at one time is a serious drawback to buying it. Most acoustic guitarists need compression and reverb or delay as a baseline. Many like to use all 3. They really missed the boat on that. What a shame.
Fair enough. I didn't design it. But I feel like this is almost an acoustic guitar "buff" then you'd add another pedal after if you wanted...but who knows? !
of course! This is not so much a "guitar simulation" pedal as a "guitar augmentation" pedal for the performing acoustic guitarist. =) And I would HIGHLY recommend coming in and trying one of our HUGE selection of Breedlove guitars! IMHO BLOWS Takamine out.of.the.water. again, just my opinion. =)
Samurai Fingers The problem I am having is that when I turned my pedal on, it would show me the screen where you can access the different guitar models but I don't know how to get from there to my effects screen...please help?
Gary Dupuis To tell you the truth, I don't own this pedal...and I don't work for AXE anymore...I don't have access to one of these pedals, so I'm not sure how to help you. Check your manual. From what I remember, it's a VERY simple interface. You're probably just overlooking a small button or something.
I am a bit confused. I was agreeing with you Samurai dude. Not challenging you. Read what I said again. Actually, if I were to critique your video of anything, it would be that you were just using the mic to try to record the subtle on/off Zoom comparisons. Can't really hear the differences dude. Try a direct feed next time so we can hear the true sound of the device. Peace.
Seriously? You still want a nice guitar. This is not a miracle fix. It is a very well thought out enhancement to an already decent sounding guitar. Remember --- you can't polish a turd.
I hope Samurai Fingers understands that this video has SO many thumbs down because viewers hate when a hot chick in a thumbnail doesn't show up in the video. :-(

Glad it helped!
Great demo because you lot give the A3 a good run-through, amazing pedal.

Thanks! That's the actual Zoom sales rep - so he really knew his stuff.

COOL! That's entirely possible! Sometimes there are EXEMPLARY instances in any brand - sounds like you've got one! Thanks for watching! =)

it's called a "podium mic" or a "pulpit mic"
Not serious. I like what you're doing with the Roland, keep up the good work.
cheers

No idea. This was so long ago now, I don't remember. But I do know that those two products were competing to get to market first.

Good demo...I got a A3. However, besides good cable connections it gives a grid / hissing noise. What is the solution ?
Thanks in advance.

@@SamuraiFingers thanks for your reply. As you suggested will have a couple of checks.
Sounds good, I hope it helps!
Good info... thanks!
Glad I could help!
The manual isn't very good. Your vid helps a lot. Thanks.
Cool!
Thanks dude! Much appreciated!
Because of playability and wood properties... :D
cool
Fun!
Yup

right. n/m I think I was confused.
Can anyone tell me how the hell I get into my effects?! I'm getting really frustrated here~
Dude - watch the video, it's in there. =) I'm nearly positive.

The guitar player is beyond useless. He needs to play while changing effects. Good explanation of effect from the other guy
It is what it is.
what do you mean?
lol - well there you go! I don't think it can replace a good guitar...but it certainly can enhance any guitar and make them sound better certainly! =)
With a pedal like this, why buy anything but a super cheap guitar? Or just nail a pickup onto a 2x4 and attached a bridge, neck and strings. ;-)
well - there are aesthetics to consider as well. and actual playability and sound creation acoustically!

Still a cool piece of tech.
Actually, MythBusters proved that you could - ;^)
Which, where, who now?

And I hope you understand that I don't give a crap. =)
Your nihilism is acknowledged. lol
not at all...it's merely an augmentation...
I like how he pronounce piezo wrong :D
In ENGLISH, it's pronounced "PEE-zo," so he would be correct. How would YOU pronounce it and why? Thanks.
Tomato, Tomahto! ;)
