You know what, I've had a persimmon tree next to my house for quite a while and I can't stomach them. That is an excellent idea, the tree produces easily 75lbs. a year.
And that’s so great and God bless you man because you have a good soul I wanna ask you a question can you make some with sugarcane? What would taste like instead of juicing sugarcane
I recommend starting with beer or mead. Very easy to get a good batch and it will teach you the basics of working with a sanitized (not sterile) environment. You can crank out a good batch of
I saw another moonshiner who made a batch of sweet corn mash. One pot he used amylase, and the other batch he used no amylase. When he did the test, he found that there was absolutely no difference in the amount of fermentable sugars in either of the test subjects. So I don't think amylase is necessary. I'm making my own batch of sweet corn without using amylase. We'll see how it goes.
I love straight con liqours whiskeys, white dogs, vodka even the cornier beers are a pleasant drink and something about corn that treat my body better the next day compared to other distilled alcohols
@@BigMacOrange the starter set is 1700 which honestly isn’t terrible. Hey philbilly have you thought about trying cream style corn using it to make some moonshine with??? That cream style corn is a lot sweeter than just sweet corn. Might be a lot better and make some awesome tasty shine!! Holla back!!
It's probably a stupid question, but is there more sugar in sweet corn and less starch compared to a dent corn or maise ? So i can probably grow sweet corn and just cut the corn off the cob when its still wet and I don't have to dry it then nock it off the cob?
@helpinghands4you that'll definitely get you fermenting. From what I understand thoguh and I could be wrong, if you're not adding enzyme to break down the corn starch then there'd be no point having corn in there int he first place, just do a sugar wash from the start.
@@benwilliams3539but you still need that sweet corn taste. So if you chop it and find the sweet spot you get a nice sweet, smooth, corn tasting finish. Every recipe is different. I'm in Washington State and I have been exploring with lots of crazy things. I'm gonna send it to philbilly once I perfect it.
Will ya send me some 😂 I'd sure like to brag I got home made moon shine from a friend in the west that would impress people I knew someone from the back woods that lives a good old boys life style they be shocked good people ❤ ok please 😊😂
Doesn't realy mater because your going to distill it anyway, a little bit of sediment wont matter and different waters would give different results you might find the water out of the hose comes from a spring and the water inside the house comes from rain wate . The different trace elements in different waters , you could find a water sauce that makes a nicer product than other water sauces if you lookes long enough
That is a gorgeous still.
This man would be a hell of a neighbor ! 🥃
Except he is duller than a peanut he has exactly zero emotion
Glad to see shine being made
That drill stand-holder is classic.
Drill press works pretty good too 😁
Like that copper setup
In the Ozarks the Wiccan Sisterhood make a sweet percimmon moOnshine. They say that cutting open persimmon seeds will reveal the severity of winter

My grandfather was a moon shiner in Alabama
It works the same with popcorn, you don’t need amylase or boiling either, yummy
Need to post the recipe
Show us how to build one! 🎉
Your awesome dude and awesome video be safe out there 😎👍🙏
How much yeast would you use for 5 gal mash
So now im getting recommended your RUclips shorts? Alright Phil, ive never been one to argue with an algorithm. I'll watch it at lunchtime!

How can i purchase 4 of your moonshine mason Jars????im from California
I wanna make my own alcohol so bad lmao.
I don't even drink that much I just like to not buy things from stores.
Easy to start small and look into freeze jacking to concentrate the alcohol without a still

How? Was it sprouted corn?
This is awesome!
Man you have come a long way! I'm so happy for you!
That looks soooo good can we buy some
Add invertase after the amylase does it’s job. It’ll separate around 50% of the glucose and fructose. You can thank me later.
I would like to try this
Hey dude. I love youre channels. They make a thing called an emersion blender so you dont have to blender up 20 times for your corn
How much ethanol do you take off and how do you judge it how much you take 1.2 pints how do you know you have enough

Whoa! I thought a still that fancy would have been so much more expensive! Im going to start a savings literally right now to buy one! Thanks!
How much?

why dont you use charred barrel on your liquor? i think that will add aroma and taste.
Bros insides probably look like corn on the cob

Amylase? Like the enzyme?
Back to the roots.
Do you add water after you are done cooking before you add yeast
❤❤❤
"Fruit jar full of that good corn liquor."
He Phil
I was wondering if you know how to make something like Bacardi 151 rum?
Any help would be awesome
I will buy a jar
Hell yeah
That's a fancy still you got there
Is it soup, or sweet corn?
"Well the sun don't shine on a moonshine still."
He was family to Bonnie Parker
I have some super enzymes but nit straight amylase
🇺🇸
How can I buy some.of that
U get wayer from the ground or a treatment plant
Yeah...imma pass on the gardenhose corn concoction *'FART'* !
Garden hose flavor won’t evaporate. It stays with the stank pile after distillation
Finally get a screen shot of what yeast to use. Everything else is just common sense
How can a get one of your stills
Fresh sweet corn would you still need amalys (spelling) ?
Nothing like that water hose corn 😂
We're can I get some of your moonshine
That facial expression at the end told me that 💩 is nasty 😅
People can do all this in their garage but I can’t grow a pot plant still. 😡
You can make your own moonshine liquor no license or nothing but you cannot sell it. You have to consume it personally 🎉
Jimmie crack corn 🌽 and o don't care 😂❤
If he ever tries to make moonshine out of piss I’m out of here!
Do you have to add the amylase enzyme?
Im no expert but i think so. It turns the corn starches into real sugar. No sugar, no alcohol.
Yes, you could used malted barley. But in this case the amylase does the same job without the barley flavor.
Or just add about 10lbs of sugar.

Is it really "corn liquor" if the corn isn't sprouted? It's just sugar liquor.
You ain't a moonshiner if you bought that still we make our own
What is amalaise
Hello phil im starting my journey. Do you have a y advice to a newb that knows nothing
Will ya send me some 😂 I'd sure like to brag I got home made moon shine from a friend in the west that would impress people I knew someone from the back woods that lives a good old boys life style they be shocked good people ❤ ok please 😊😂
Whats amylase
That was enough yeast for 50gal
Hell I just go down the ethanol plant and get me some true corn alcohol before they add all that other bs to it
Watching Parks and Rec priaire drink off, made search this
Amalaise?
It converts the corn to sugars so the yeast can turn it into beer (or whatever you call the mash with alcohol when you use corn).
How is this legal ?
Your doing it all wrong your supposed to use corn of the stalk. This is corn from a bag
How big is your initial vat?
Good thing the ATF is only F....or you would get raided
Trees must be black near your house
Taste the hose.
Where do i send my money
You hiring??
you are not drink but you drunk forever
Wouldn’t it be more sanitary to use a jug of water rather than using a dirty outdoor hose 😂
That’s why it’s called philbilly moonshine 😂
