    Wow! Looks delicious. What can I substitute for alkaline water?

      Sorry, the alkaline/lye water in this recipe cannot be substituted. you can opt to omit it if you want, but the pandan colour of the kuih will be lackluster. The taste and bounciness of it will be discounted too. Thank you❤

      @@angelsie8219 Its aka "Kansui" and you can buy it from baking ingredient supply stores or shopee. If you don't use it too often, 30g bottle packing is just nice for you.Thanks

    What can I replace to alkaline water.

      Sorry, the alkaline/lye water in this recipe can't be substituted, that's the traditional ingredient of Kuih Kosui, you can opt to omit it if you want, but the pandan colour of the kuih will be lackluster. The taste and bounciness of it will be discounted too.Thank you
