- The Japanese woman who was cut off for marrying a Kenyan man and speaks fluent Swahili | Tuko TV
When Yuka told her mother she was marrying a Kenyan man, she completely cut her off.
The mother said African men are a no go zone and she would rather settle for an Italian, American or Briton.
However, true love knows no bounds.
Over a decade later, Yuka and her husband Nick Mwashimba are raising two beautiful children in Nakuru and run Hikari music school together
They open up to Lynn Ngugi on how they met, how Nick proposed and what made their relationship work.

She does not only speak swahili but she also speaks english with a kenyan accent , boy that is true assimilation.
she can move to africa then great
For sure she speaks just like most kenyans
But can she speak his ethnic language. I'm not impressed that she speaks Swahili as its a lingua franca akin to someone speaking Arabic or any European language. I'd be impressed if she spoke his own ethnic language such as Luo, Kikuyu and others.

Nope she doesn't sound Kenyan, she sounds like a Ugandan
She found peace in a place where she was told there was a lot of suffering .. If that ain’t beautiful I don’t know what it 🔥
She came from a family of suffering in a country that is peaceful and orderly. And came to a foreign place where she found peace and meaning.
That's poetic justice.
the degree of humility she has is amazing and Godly...I love her , Ive learned from her
So sad, anyone but black huh. The sad fact is that this is a world wide acceptance by most people. She has a better sense than most who look at the color of a person's skin to determine their worth. Yet her life with her parents showed her that its actually bull shit to think that way. She came from abuse so she has a barometer on which to make her judgement. Wish them the best in their lives♥️♥️together.

One of the most beautiful stories I have seen. To see a woman with such a strong conviction that she let love into her heart , when she came from an environment where love is almost nonexistant. And then she works to make the world a better place instead of personal gain! Such a rare and amazing soul she has. She deserves such a good and intelligent man for her husband. Damn why am I crying?
Such a woman is rare, especially in East Asia where most people don’t really believe in God.
@@joseph3036 lol imagine thinking believing in god means anything when it comes to relationships 🤣
@@mealovesyu Yes it does. Most people who don’t believe in a creator called God also don’t believe that all humans are equal. They believe in Social Darwinism(especially East Asians), therefore, they despise people from a place poorer than their own, let alone date or marry them.

I pray that her parents, especially the father should kiss and make up so that he won't have any regret. He should invite his children and spend a quality time with them.
Sure let her parents stay where they are .
The Japanese generally are quite puffed up but if you asked her father which of the sons of Noah they are descended from he could not answer because then he would have to admit that his people are mixed race since Noah and his sons were all black. True. She comes off as a really cool chick and still has her head straight on her shoulders.
When she said "it's a healing process for me...what I didn't get from my own Dad, I see in them"....I had to fight back tears. I could remember wishing I had a relationship with my Dad (may his soul RIP). I don't know who needs to hear this but I'm speaking directly to my African Brothers and Sisters - especially the Brothers if I'm being frank, we need to SHOW & EXPRESS our love for our kids, to our kids. Please! I understand the need to be strict sometimes and teach kids some discipline but we should balance it out with expressing LOVE for our kids in different forms. From that surprise gift you buy them, to taking them to see their favourite sport, to even the hug and saying the words " I LOVE YOU". These things really matter. I can only remember hugging my Dad ONCE and I remember when, how and why I did. We underestimate the trauma the lack of these can have on a kid. Love truly heals.

I cried a little too, right along with her. I felt her feelings the most in that moment.
So true...that’s why we will break that cycle
I'm a Cameroonian, i really love everything about this couple. May your love 4 each other never die, and may it be passed unto your kids and the people around you amen
Lol, I am Nigerian. I love you. I laughed at your account of power cut, washing dishes in a bucket. Welcome to Nigeria.
Was married to Yoruba and i love my two half Nigerian rwandan sons as well as my ex in laws. Once you have kids with peole its a forever family
Lol... I also laughed .. We in Naija are used to it...
She even speaks with a Kenyan/East African accent. 🤣🤣

Wow, TUKO has broken down the ceiling. Bringing such stories is really inspiring. The woman is real. I ve lived abroad like in the last 10 years and it's really hard to meet such a humble lady. Most of them will not agree to emigrate to Africa because as the lady says the picture out there of Africa is very very bad. So this is an awesome girl. The guy is very lucky to have met her. Kudos for the couple. I tell you marriage to a foreigner is very challenging. The woman seems to have given up her Japanese life to a Kenyan culture. Congratulations 👏 🎊 💐 🥳
By the way Lynn si mlete JAHMBY KOIKAI to speak on her endometriosis journey of suffering and healing.... We know Tuko hakunanga ubaguzi am sure her story can lift many souls out there.... She's a fighter
Hello dear, we will be featuring her next week:)

Loving greetings from Denmark by your African brother-in-Law of Ethiopian origin. I am hugely touched about your life experience and the challenges you went through. To say the least, you are an inspiring human being. I thank the Almighty God that he brought you to Africa where you can see the difference for yourself. I am glad you are now safe and happy with your great husband, the children and your African extended family members. May the Almighty God bless you all 🙏. I have subscribed to your channel, will continue to follow your Godly work and keep in touch. 🙏🌹🙏
My thanks and praise also goes to the beautiful host of Tuko Channel who enabled us to discover that a Japanese Angel have set foot in our African continent.❤️🌹❤️ I have subscribed to this channel too.

What a great lady
The interviewer has great interview skills and is genuinely interested. Hope she goes far. The hand of God appears to be upon this married couple. Good hearts 💕 love and care for other less fortunate
Karen that's what a good interviewer is like. she wasn't going thru random questions . the Nippon lady felt like she was talking to a friend.

I like the way the interviewer does too.
She is a woman of good understanding, humble and very reasonable and she is blessed by the Lord - Proverbs Chapter 31:10-31
If she is to talk without being shown, no one would known she was Japanese.
So true!!
Brilliant ..interview..just came across this youtube page..I am Indian man married to a japanese ...we have been now married for over 30 years... I can relate a lot to what she/they went through.. gud luck to both of them..
Good story
congratulations! may you have many more years of marriage to come!
The fact that distance, culture, upbringing and many more factors did not deter her and her focus on what she really wanted in her life is amazing and it speaks alot regarding her character...
Kudos to the husband too, that must been a hurdle. I love such stories that speak to the heart.....thanks Tuko talks, you the best as usual 😊
Well put. Those factors are not trivial
Yuka am sending my love and prayers to you and your family 👪 🙏. I watched your video and I couldn't stop crying...tears of joy may you find peace with your 2 beautiful girls. Am in London planing to go to Kenya hopefully by February I'll make sure I come and say hello. Love from London.
This is very inspiring! She has a beautiful heart. Both of them are meant to be together.
May God continue to bless them and the two families in Kenya and Japan 🙏🏿
Yuka, you are a Proverbs 31 woman field with sense of humor. I'm humbled by your sharing. Blessing to you, your husband Nick, your kids and to the works of your hands through the power of God. You are a great piece to the society..
