    Excellent explanation, what happens if the hacker takes out the lan cable from trusted port and connects his home router for man in the middle attack? Will the switch can distinguish between the real router and the hacker router?

      It won't because it's a trusted port. When you configure the port as trusted, it doesn't look at any DHCP messages received on that port. But normally, no one would disconnect your core router or the router i nyour network from the switch. The switch might not detect it, but you will if you have the proper alarms in place
