Katherine never, not once, turned off her humanity nor has Bonnie ran away from her problem - no, they dealt with it. They have both been through a lot and Katherine has been through worser stuff but both still came out fighting out the other end. And you seriously think Elena can compare with them? Please, don't make me laugh.

Besides, If she had turned off her humanity then where would that drive and determination have stemmed from? Hmm? Those survival traits are drawn and born from emotions, darling. Real emotions. Just because she acts as though she has turned off her humanity - because if you look at her closely, and i mean REALLY looked at her, that girl has got a lot of feelings running around inside her and whether they are bad or good emotions are up for debate but they are emotions. they are feelings. She's got her humanity switched on, darling. She always has.
