I'm an ex prosecutor ( about 150 jury trials) and this is not confirmation that Cohen was lying. He could easily have talked about the 14 year old and that the Stormy Daniel's thing was wrapped up in less than 30 seconds.Also it was 8 years ago when his recollection may not have been totally accurate at the time of his first testimony about this. I am surprised that Ari and this former prosecutor are making conclusions on this before re-direct is given on Monday. Amateur hour is going on with Ari Melber today.

The call was 96 seconds long. Quit trimming it down to 90 to make it sound shorter.
You can do a lot of talking in a minute and 36 seconds. Take this video for example - the conversation from 0:30 to 2:06.

Not remembering a 90 second phone call from 8 YEARS AGO isn't a surprise. It only takes 5 seconds of that 90 seconds to say, "I took care of that issue for you."
I don’t recall exactly who said it, but on one of the shows yesterday somebody made the comment to the effect of “Saying he couldn’t cover two topics in 90 seconds requires you to believe a fast-talking New York lawyer can’t talk fast.” And really, the conversation would have required how many words? 20? 30? Maybe that for each side? Set a timer and see how many words you can read aloud off a page in 30 seconds. At a pretty relaxed pace, over 110 for me.
Average is 150 words per minute. Blanche is desperate to polish his turd of a defense. I hope the make this obvious point at redirect.

The phone call cross exam was not necessarily effective. The testimony showed that Michael was a little disoriented as he had not seen the email in years. The incident happened long ago. Yes you can say what needs to be said to two individuals in a 90 second call. The media is making a mountain out of a molehill. To be reminded that the core part of the prosecutors’ case is strong.

Well, the Defendence did a C+ work on Cohen...this case is not about Cohen v. Trump, it is the People of NY v. Trump. So what he slipped on such a trivial recollection issue. As far as I’m concerned if the defense doesn’t call Keith Schiller to rebut Cohen’s account of that call then the jury should assume Cohen was telling the truth. Pretty simple. But my guess is Schiller on the stand is a can of worms for trump.
If they put Schiller on, and the prosecution can ask him anything. It opens the door to all kinds of incriminating topics.

In state trials such as this, statistically there is about a 6% chance of a mistrial. That is a very small chance it will happen. On top of that, if there is a juror that is simply going against all the others to blatantly cause a mistrial they can substitute an alternate and start deliberations over again.
