This was very helpful. Thank you. I have a question about saving the render image. You edited the exposure in the end which is something i do as well, but when i download the image, it os downloaded without the edits i made in 3dsmax, it will still be dark like how it was before i edited the exposure. How do i download an image with it's saved edits??

There are lot of factors involved.
Like type of IES you use. Is it close to some place like wall or floor.
If you like you can share you file on my fb. And I will see the issue.

Vray IES lights should be close to wall.
Then increase intensity
