Lol bravo my man. Almost 20 years tile installation and this mind fu#ked me for like an hour. I figured it out and forgot on the next corner. Drove me crazy
Zillions of vids from the experts and no one but you tackled this…I think they are afraid! They use lots of other ways to mitre when tile doesn’t lie flat…to avoid this problem. I need this for the top of a tile chair rail against a mud wall where the gap is too big, so have to lay the half-round on a slant. This principle applies to that as well. Now let’s see if I can execute it! Thank you very very much!
Thank you so so so much for this ive been trying to get it right forever and i couldnt figure it out
Thanks, I have come back to your video several times over the years to refresh my memory.
Thanks been driving me crazy
A god amongst men. Thank you.
I got to admit I have been doing tiles for years and until today I didn't have to use these tiles at this angle before.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING!! Learning new tricks is awasome.
Dude... thank you thank you thank you!!!! You're like the ONLY freaking video on how to do this cut!!! I'm so glad I found you! I tried 22.5 degrees, double 45s, upside down, just about every way to hold these things except this way... totally makes sense. Thx
Like so many others, I couldn't figure this out, and it took awhile to find your video. Thank you, thank you!!
You just saved me a big headache. Thank you so much.
Huge thanks. This video saved me an immense amount of time fiddling! I'm working on a tile project for the first time. I made a practice cut and it didn't work out. It took me a while to search for the right video, but I watched yours and this is exactly what I needed to learn. Thankyou so much for making this video!
Cool man! Your video is the only one on RUclips showing how to actually make the cut. Other videos skip this step and show one how to only install pencil tile. Thanks a bunch!
You set me straight on this. Thank you!
I did so many failed cuts on jolly trim and this finally did it! Thank you!
Thank you so much for explaining this!! We've spent hours trying to figure this out and wasted several sections of tile. You're awesome for posting this video to help all the DIY tilers out here!
incredibly helpful. exactly what i needed
Thanks! I was having a hell of a time trying to get it right.
I know that feeling... 🙂
Gotta say, this was a huge help! This is my first bathroom renovation and your video came at exactly the right time! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.

Thanks that was very helpful!
Excellent video, this is going to help a lot on my shower project. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one that screws up. 😂 Thanks Ken.
Thank you! Was struggling with this as well.
I have been holding off cutting some expensive travertine molding. I think you just got me over my concerns. Thank you.
Thank you so much! You’ve just saved our bathroom remodel :-)
Thank you so much
This is similar to cutting crown molding, I will be trimming 2 niches tomorrow with a pencil. When cutting insidevor outside corners it is cut upside down on the spring angle using a miter saw. Spring angle, is the area between the wall and the back of the crown.
Thanks you that’s awesome and I finally start cut. I’m glad I find your video.
Needed this awesome thank you
Thanks mi amigo you save mi life :)
awesome thank you!
ty ty ty...no one is teaching us this!!! 😆
Thank you!!!
Thx bro super helpful
Cut the End of a 2x4 about 6" long at a 45 degree angle use it for a guide.
Cut it like crown molding
So you pretty much just cut it up side down at 45?°
🙏 🙏 🙏!!!!!
Good information thank you! But please wear proper PPE! Cut level 3 or 4 gloves. It only takes a second and you've lost a finger or have gotten a severe laceration.
No just the joins also the installation looks wrong
Cut it like it will lay on the wall
Is this the same kind of cut you would do for crown molding?
no different cut.
No hablo inglés solo español así que no entiendo.
Ok
😧
If you have a tile saw with a bevel it’s pretty self explanatory. If you’re a licensed tile installer you shouldn’t have had an issue to begin with. I actually kinda feel bad for whoever hired this guy to do tile work.
I am a DIYer Dumb Shit. :)
LMAO😂
