Because they’re optics are being effected. They have to protest or it could be taken as admission of guilt in a way. Just pay attention to their justifications while discounting the current ongoing facts. They’re just showing protest to save face, they have nothing to counter other than bring up things they have given to the people of Manipur like they’re doing a favour. Mary Kom earned it, she deserves all of it and so do the people of Manipur need to be treated with respect and concern over its situation. At this point it’s moot to talk about what they have to say, given that we all know they don’t. It infuriates me when they justify their silence with something that isn’t even related to the issue at hand.
