Thank you for posting this video! Was only getting up to 44 psi and about to go spend $300 on a new one. Only spent $19 to fix my Campbell Hausfeld 26 gallon. New part was $17 and I used a $2 angled L bracket from Lowes and attached to the broken bracket. Working good as new! Thanks for saving me money, trash from the landfill, and large companies from profiting from poor designs. Flex line would be the best option.
For awhile my compressor was filling up to 90 psi. Now it only goes up to about 25 psi. Now I know what to check for when I take it apart this weekend. Thank you for making the video.
Ty. Mine just started doing the same thing. Only fills to 25 psi and when I start using air it never "kicks in" to fill the tank. Did you figure out what was wrong with yours? I'll probably tear min apart this week.
A friend had the same recurring problem with an Ingersoll Rand. We solved the issue by using our own copper tubing and leaving a coil of tubing in the line to absorb vibrations.
Ok so after some research I found that these Husky tubes keep cracking under pressure. I will likely replace with a stainless steel flexible tube. aircompressorpartsonline.com/transfer-tubes-nylon-tubing-steel-braided-transfer-tubes-c-25_294_434.html
Thank you for the video. I inherited a similar sized Husky. Previous owner said it wouldn't build pressure. I'll check this week for cracks. I did change out the drain valve. So that's holding what pressure it does build (20-30psi).
thank you so much that's exactly what my problem was but I have another problem it got up to 170 PSI and never shut off what do you think could be the problem or do you think the problem was I had a crack in the exhaust I haven't got the new tube in the mail yet
Great video for the exhaust tube and motor mount. Do you have anything that shows replacing the pressure switch on this same model of Husky compressor? Thank you.
Shot in the dark, but I’m having an issue with the same style compressor.. but my issue is with the black tube that’s connected to exhaust to leading to front of motor.. I started it the other day and it sounded like air leaking while running and it will not fill past 100lbs .. any guess on how to fix?? I can’t find anything
Hey bud, simple question, what do you do to maintain the best performance of it? Does it need a lubricant on the piston or need the poston's plunger to be replaced? Bkught an old one that works but maybe a little slow. Thanks bud!
From 9:05-9:10 you show the tank gaining pressure. Was that time-lapse, or should I expect to see that kind of rate of recharge in my Husky y6010 25-gal tank?
Hey boss. What's the black tube coming from the tank inlet valve, for? I just bought a used system and it's missing this black tube and it's venting the tank, so it's not able to pressurize the tank. The tube at 8:36. Thank you.
No they are oil free. I have the same one. These are maintenance free so you really don’t have to do anything other than drain the water every now and then and maybe a belt eventually. You still need to oil your air tools though.
Mine builds air but won't a second time or sometimes it will build then rebuild twice and then stop working until empty and unplugged for a few minutes then after plugging back in it works. Amy ideas?
I just picked up a compressor very similar to yours(32 gallon husky/ch 150 psi) and it won't build pressure past 60 psi. Any help you can give diagnosing would be appreciated. Thanks!! After further inspection I found the problem. the pipe is split in several places lol. Can I use copper tubing or is it supposed to be a certain metal?
I had the same issue. It got louder and was running and running and running for longer than normal periods so I would shut it down. I had a cracked pressure hose on the inside of the bend. I made my own and was good again.
Where did you find the rubber ferrules for the exhaust tube fittings? Does any other material work like O rings or brass ferrules? I have the same compressor with the same problem plus another gremlin or two.
Thanks. It appears that my tube is OK, but the ferrules (or whatever those rubber things are called) are not and its not holding pressure. I picked up some O rings and thought I would give those a shot.
I think I am going to have to order the pipe kit. The O rings by themselves didn't do the trick. I ended up taking the original worn out gaskets and putting those back in, then backed those with O rings for a tighter fit. It holds pressure now but I believe that the O rings will fail soon due to the heat. I could be wrong and this could last quite a while but I'm not holding my breath. Thanks for your video and information. At least I know now that this compressor is repairable and not heading to the scrap yard yet!
I have a shop force air compressor, After I turn it on and builds up some pressure oil sprays out of the oil filler cap. I took the valve apart and checked the strips of metal and metal gasket and they don't look warn or broken. sf2500 is the model and I wonder what it could be? thanks,
tom purcell just a thought. Sounds like blow by. Too much crankcase pressure. Bad rings maybe. Trying to remember from my car repair days. Same principle. Sorry. Best I can do.
My compressor starts working and builds pressure up to 150psi but sometimes during work it will not start and won't keep tank charged. Sometimes it turns on only for a few seconds then goes quiet. Sometimes I hears something that it wants to start like air going somewhere through the pipe for about 2 second and then quiets and stays like that. Fails to keep up pressure in tank when I use it. Pressure goes low as 50psi but compressor doesn't start. Then I had to open drain valve to release remaining air pressure in the tank. Disconnect it from AC power for few minutes and it starts working again build up to 150psi again. I don't hear any air leaks. What could be wrong?
Hello hope you are doing well. How do I send you a message? I have a question on my 33 gallon 1.75 horsepower 150 psi Husky Air Compressor. Model No. WL660800AJ. Thank you very much. Sincerely Fred Klosterman
Excellent Video, will look for this tomorrow. My Compressor is not building pressure at all and its the same one. Just bought a new piston/ring set and still not building pressure (previous ring was apart in pieces). Someone said it may be a valve but I have no idea where to look for it. Anyone with any input I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
Did you see the missing bolt just to the right of where your strap broke? (I’m not gonna look to see if someone else pointed it out, just trying to be helpful- not make a career out of it;))
Sounds like you have a small leak. Probably in the tube shown in this video. It is supposed to shut off at around 125, but it will over heat and shut off before that if the pressure never builds.
Anybody have an issue with the static motor im assuming. The unit on right side with blade on outside? This one keeps popping the motor reset. It will run upto 100 lb and pop and then u wait 10min and try again. I can upload a video

yep you cant really run it straight to it like that due to vibration put a loop in the copper tubing

Yeah, it's not building enough pressure to activate the pressure switch with that crack in the tube.
Great video! Helped me find the same issues on my compressor! Thank you!
Great video for the exhaust tube and motor mount. Do you have anything that shows replacing the pressure switch on this same model of Husky compressor? Thank you.
Anything on the unit with black cover and fan inside? My keeps popping and wont stop and run when low on air
would this help if it takes 15 minutes for the compressor to only fill to 75 psi out of 150 psi?
Thanks for that information I replace mine with copper three years ago
What was the problem with the compressor in the first place? What symptom did you have?
I have a red 22 Gallon 5hp version of you air compressor. Changed the tube n it fixed it thanks to your vid

I have a silent compressor by husky and it takes a long time to fill up can you give me a tip on what to do because it is to fill a lot kwiker
You can buy industrial flex air hoses and fittings instead of the copper but would need to match up fittings and perhaps tap the head.
I have an identical compressor. Do you know if it takes any oil? Or is it oil free compressor? Can find any info on it.

Amy ideas?
Sounds like it's over heating. I would still check this hose because if it takes too long to build pressure back up it will overheat and shut down.
@@J20Jeepster I just finished disassembling and reassembling it after checking it for cracks

I had the same broken bracket and I had to weld that back into place.
So mine was just a dry rotted rubber line between main rail and adjuster valve. Replaced with some random tubing and it’s fixed
How do I get the cover of the Husky 17 gallon air compressor

Exactly what happen to mine. The bracket broke, that caused the copper pipe to crack.
Boom! The nut was loose on my hose, simple.
Nice!
Cool deal kid!!!!! I’ll be giving my compressor this try. Thank you and be well. I liked and subscribed 👍🏼😉

Mine makes a electrical noise like the motor is not engaging when you turn the switch to the on position any pointers its a husky 26 gallon electric

That rocked, thank for posting.
was it louder before you fixed it
Nice fix. Couldn’t you also just have welded the old bracket?
Thanks for the insight. Fixed me right up. Stay Blessed
how do you change when the compressor turns off on the campbell hausfeld
You don't. It's a pre set switch.
Best solution, change to a high preasure rubber hose..
what was your problem? not building pressure?
Thanks im going to check mine this weekend lord willing. Mine wont go passed 25

@ Al Zedder it might be the reed valves in the compressor head. Search reed valves that will give you an idea of what to look for. Good luck!
@@scottl5910 Thanks, I ended up fixing it, but it was so long ago, I honestly forgot what I did :)
I don't see how your pump is vibrating soo 5:42 bad to break the bracket and the tube.
I see some compressors using some type of rubber looking hose. Maybe even a small hydraulic type hose would cure the problem permanently. ???
wat state are u in
Where a reset button for this model compressor
My compressor is getting really loud at 60 psi hard to explain but it sounds like it's struggling after that point to reach full capacity...

they could've done that connection with a flexible or corrugated tube, but that would just make it last longer.

Wow a reduction belt drive on the crankshaft so it can run with a punk ass little motor ... so that's how they do that one !
That’s how a lot of the maintenance free motors are. The pistons are tiny too. I have one and they are inadequate in my opinion.
Ignorant question! Is there oil required for this
No, It doesn't have a place to service it with oil.
