- What is up guys. In this video I share my thoughts about driving your Camaro in the winter or the snow. This is my second winter here in Chicago with this car so I have some good experience. I also share some tips on how to have a better experience in the snow/winter. Hope this was helpful, if it was make sure to like and subscribe.

Sorry about the sometimes robotic audio sound, I will look into it and try to fix it for next time. Авто/Мото
I have a 2021 2SS manual 6.2
Picked it up last February, put on some Toyo winter tires and 2X sandbags in the back over the rear wheels. It was awesome in snow/ice mode. No issues at all as long as you dont give it too much gas :) The best part about winter driving these cars in the winter are the looks everyone gives you thinking you're NUTS LOL
Haha same with me not too many issues! And yes people look at you like your crazy 🤣😂
i feel like... it's a great idea on paper, because the extra weight helps dig into the snow so youre contacting the road more. But, on the incident of sliding out... ur ass is SWINGINNN lmfao. I mean you can tokyo drift that shit if ur good, but... i think it'd cause a swing issue, especially on corners; If ur goin just a bit too fast, where as otherwise the 50/50 weight distribution would help make it easier to control for the rookie driver.
i learned driving in the wet with tc on is like driving on dry with tc and stabilitrak off. just dont gas it hard, accelerate like ur driving a honda civic. shouldnt be no problems in the snow right? i dont want winter to come tbh.... XD
Ty for your video! I live 2 hours east of Denver in rural town and this was one thing I didn't think about b4 buying my camero. Definitely gonna be cautious and safe!
I knew a couple of months ago when I bought my Camaro ( 2021 1LT V6 ten speed auto ) that rear wheel drive vehicles do not do well in the snow. I live in central B.C. and when it comes to real heavy snow that happens four or five times a winter season. I have the 20" all season run flats on at present and the snow has been relatively light so far anyway.
With traction control on and the S/I driving mode selected I've had no problem at all, I also have four 25kg, sand bags over the rear wheels.
That's okay so far but I have ordered a set of Falken winter tires (245/40R/20 ) I'm sure I will have no problem getting around until the Spring arrives ,, hell I just love this car !!!
Glad you are having a good experience! 👍
I just got a camaro, had to downsize because of city parking issues, had a truck before. Wouldn't the 60lbs sand bags times 2 so 120lbs put strain on the suspension and shocks? its a sports car after all
@@maxhoefoe3462 According to my Chevy dealer where the sand bags are placed, no problem at all ,,,, have a nice day.
Some good tips for sure. I drive a car with rear wheel drive and follow these tips and I survive no problem!
Awesome man I wish you luck and understand it can be hard but it’s worth it!!
I absolutely love Camaros more than any other muscle car but even with that said, I can't deny that the absolute best muscle car for snow is the all-wheel-drive Challenger. I was always hoping that Chevy would come out with an all-wheel-drive Camaro just to match them but they never did
I live in Chicago as well so thank you VERY MUCH for this vid bro
Of course brother, hope it was helpful!
@@NLM your whole channel is helpful brodie💯💯💯
thank you bro you really helped me out getting one next month and cant wait
Of course, glad u enjoyed the video! If you ever have any questions, feel free to ask!! 👍👍 Hope u enjoy urs as much as me!
I live in chicago and i only have a camaro. I hope everything comes out allright during the winter, the best thing about it is that i dont live in a block. Im right on a busy street... Every car that is not a camaro slips and slides....
Christopher, I live in Chicago too. You should be okay, just don’t do anything crazy and be careful. Good luck 👍
Just bought a Gorgeous Shadow Grey Metallic 2021 Camaro. I Freaking Love It!
I live about an hour north of Toronto so I will definitely be putting snow tires on it..
Nice, congrats! And definitely put the snow tires on and it should help 👍
Yoww soo how was winter
@@YabaEbba It wasn't that bad. But, Even though I had Winter tires on it it was still sliding around. Not the best Winter car. But when it was snowing badly I just didn't go out. Didn't want to risk it..
Alright i just bought one im freaking out lol
@@YabaEbba Excellent!! What color?
Lol I moved to Florida and got my camaro then came home to Boston and it was a blizzard and it was a nightmare😂everyone was like wtf is this dude from Florida going 50 rn
Today * that all just happened lol
haha bro I know how u feel cuz in the summer I get used to the conditions and then when the snow hits, I still got that summer mindset lol. Just gotta be careful boss 🤣😂
What snow the roads are clear
V6 Camaros should be sensible in the snow. It's the SS that I'm really curious about 😏
the marro looks sooooo aggressive w ice in the front 🔥👍🏽 thanks for the advice
For sure boss thanks for commenting!
here in canada a lot of people drive there in winter. I mean it,s a car, it's not a fucking motorcycle
Right, oh i wonder how they did it in the past, all those old RWD vehicles 😒 without our new fancy technology…
love the louvers
Stability control and traction control and being easy on the gas is fine. You’ll be just fine. You shouldn’t be going fast anyway. I see too many people in Subarus for example, that get away too overconfident. Basically office stop sign. I let my car idle for a few seconds, and then slowly ease into it. I have a 500 hp rear wheel drive car so I get it.
I just drive my truck in the winter. I love my Gen-5 V-6
Live in Colorado! Just bought a 2022 2SS Should I get snow tires ? Or will my 20 inch all seasons be ok? Plus I have snow mode
Tough call. If you want to be as safe as possible, go with snow tires. If you have all-seasons now you should be okay but certainly if it came with summer tires, switch to all- seasons or winter tires for the winter. Also, congrats on the car!
@@NLM yeah it comes from the factory with summer only but we already bought the all seasons that they are switching out when it’s hit their lot
@@NLM and thanks man it’s the 1st 2022 model landed in the state of Colorado (Black Redline edition 2ss) will be here end of October) im freaking stoked
Okay, all seasons should be okay, that’s what I use. Just be careful and don’t take it out on bad days. And I can’t imagine your excitement! 👍🤘
@@NLM yeah cause my wife is getting a telluride for her vehicle around the same time so bad days and a lot of snowfall we will be in that but yeah the all seasons should do just fine for the rest of the days thanks again for the insight , and yeah man been my dream car since bumblebee in 07 this month needs to fly by
Que gomas recomiendas para la nieve 🏌️♂️🔥🔥🔥
So basically Ignore the assholes that beating their horns at you to go faster on a snowy day note it and get either snow tires or all season tires. Thanks you
thanks for your content i have exactly the same car like you and i am happy for every tip that you give by the way what about the damage from salt on the road etc do you use some wax for your carriage? regards from Czech Republic
Thanks for the comment and im glad you enjoy the content it means a lot for real. As far as the salt, really I just try to get the car washed often, but otherwise, I don’t do anything. Also super dope that u have the same car 👏👏
Good idea?
Mmmmm…. not ideal but if you are careful and don’t go out when it’s bad, you should be fine…. or at least I have been
Aye bro thanks for the advice I’m buying one in December do you think it matters if I change the tires to all season or can I keep the ones they came with and does it slip
I would recommend all seasons or winter tires for winter time!
is all season and winter tires the same? or is one better than the other
If you have bad tires or not winter tires do not attempt to drive a sports car in the snow
agreed
The roads are cleared so why not drive. Maybe buying winter tires helps.
Dude. You’re not even driving in the snow. The road is clear.
Next time we get a foot of snow, i’ll get some footage

hi nolimitmax I just bought a camaro in canada can I survive winters?
Took my ZL1 on the snow once new saw that puppy again 🐶😞
Im so sorry man. Hopefully u had full coverage
Having a new HD truck is a bigger flex than having a muscle car at this point in time. change my mind
It’s whatever makes you happy. Trucks, muscle cars, anything. 👍
very good video
Glad you enjoyed, Thank you so much, have a nice day 👍
about people that honk at you at winter i would say F*** them my and my car safety is more important to me than they opinion/impatience
Loved the commentary thank you
Thanks!
This video does not help whatsoever. Anybody can get seasonal tires DA.
There’s no snow on the road in this video. Why don’t you drive in some inches
Where I live, they do a great job plowing the snow. And if there is more than an inch of snow on the ground, I would never drive the Camaro.
@@NLM Well I just did it for 1 hour after 3 inches and freezing rain
I would never take my camaro out in the snow,,I don't even take it out when it rains,
Lol good choice, in an ideal world, me too. Just sometimes I only have access to just the Camaro and i got to. Happy new year boss.
@@NLM I'm very lucky,,I live in the building where I work,,so no commuting for me and I can just leave my camaro in garage spot for winter,,
@@NLM happy new year'!!
Oh nice thats lucky and thanks man !
Camaro is summer car bro never take my baby to snow
True! If I could afford another whip I definitely would have both. For now, if it’s ever really bad, I take my parents cars that are a little better equipped for winter. But you are fosho right, summer is the time. Thanks for the comment.
One reason I don’t have one is I don’t think it’ll handle the Vermont hills with winter snow. And I only have 1 parking spot at my apartment so can’t give it up to a 3 season car. Buying a truck and a street bike instead, I think it’ll be better
Drove a Camaro for 7 years, don’t recommend.
Drove Camaros in Quebec for 40 years, no issues, just don't be an idiot which could be challenging for many...
@@jeanfortin1250 i agree if you drive like a dick you will look like a dick.
thats a v6...its a coupe
Yes
“U CANT “DRIVE A CAMARO ON SNOW UNLESS THE STREETS ARE DRY MUSCLES CARS ARE ONLY FOR SUMMER THATS Y THEY WACK GET A SUBARU AN ENJOY THE SNOW
I mean ya the Camaro is definitely not meant for snow but it can be done
Anything is possible brotha
Such car is the same useless in real winter like umbrella in tornado
