It mentions that the separate assembly with the shaft and pulley is for heavier wire but no specific details on how to set it up. also says the 3 assemblies should be 300mm (1 foot ) apart.
+Energy Fabricator the lock on the nut isn't bad either...if you notice it's got a slit cut into it and a screw drilled into it. When you tighten the screw it effectively pinches the thread locking the position.. brilliant.
Just bought one of these off Ebay. It arrived with a broken part---the plastic part on the spool feed brake assembly that holds the spring and also has tension adjustment screw. Trying to figure out how the wire is intended to feed through the various pulleys. Can't really tell from your videos. Also trying to figure out what the extra bracket with pulley/shaft is intended for...the one you mounted the fishing line gauge on. Are there any instructions for these online in English? How is your machine holding up after several years of use?
I couldn't find any instructions anywhere...the machine is ok but the wire feed mechanism has never worked good from day 1... constant adjustment needed to the wire feed and reverse direction feed but you can get it to work.
Your tensioner is put together wrong according to the one I have. the arm is upside dow and the spring and adjuster goes on the other side of the mount
Thanks for reply. I did manage to find some instructions of sorts on various ads for this machine which I copied and pasted into a text file. I could send it to you but I can't seem to find any way to contact you through this page
what is the name of this machine.auto reverse mechanism is tricky one.how the reversing mechanism works is not understood can you explain it with removing the parts or showing it with diagram in an another video thank you sir.

I really like the 3-lobed springy copper washer... elegant design.
