Enjoy unpacking, see all of those projects that you are itching to stitch again! What a great room for crafts, my stuff is tucked away here and there throughout our home. I do take a basket of projects to work on in the family room, tv and Mr. Wonderful are there in the evenings. So happy that you had such a lovely Christmas with your family. Thank you for the flosstube!❤❤❤
Moving is certainly a challenge, but how wonderful to have the new space for your crafty treasures! I look forward to seeing how you organize your new spaces!
Holly, I'm praying your move goes/went smoothly and you are able to enjoy the process of unpacking and making a new space your own ☺ Have the best time at The Attic! Happy stitching, my friend 💜
Best wishes in your move and setting up your new home. Excited to see how your crafty space looks when you get settled. Hope you have a great time at The Attic!❤
Its always so soothing to watch your updates while stitching. Best wishes and prayers to all of your family members, and hope your move is uneventful. ❤
Your new home looks lovely, Holly. We recently downsized from a 4-bed, 3-bath home to a 2-bed, 2-bath condo with a loft above the kitchen. I chose the loft for my sewing room. Believe me when I say I unloaded a LOT of fabric and notions, including my longarm, to the guild in our previous city! Do I still have too much stash? YES. However, I have a similar long closet in the eaves (unfortunately I have to get on my knees to get to the back), but it holds a lot! I made sure the things I wanted to access the most were up front. I struggled with lighting where my cutting table is, so I had a series of track lights installed on the vaulted part of the ceiling pointing toward the cutting table. When I look at your room I think you might also struggle with lighting in that back portion of the room, but hopefully the extra lighting will help. Other than that, I envy the amount of wall space you have and I think you'll be very happy in your new space! Hugs, Candace
So happy to see you!!! Thank you for sharing all of your goodness! Especially about Graham...I think of him often 💙 Your new house looks amazing!! Have so much fun at the Attic -someday I may make it there... LOL For now lots of stitching as we keep an eye on the fires - Thankful that the Hurst Fire has not moved north toward us and that my family & friends that have been evacuated are safe and their homes are still standing.🙏🙏
You have been on my mind. Thank you for the update!! I am excited for you!! What fun to design a new creative space!! I have two spaces that I create in. And I still find the need to haul everything into the dining room and extend the dining room table!! I can’t wait to see what you create!! ❤
It’s good seeing you sooner than expected. I retired and a few months later I bought a manufactured home which was bigger than any space I had had in a long time. People wondered why I bought something so big for just me. However, I finally got a craft room. I took the closet which was a decent size and had one of those closet places come in and install shelves. It’s amazing how much stuff you can get in an area if you stop and study it. The closet isn’t large but with some thought, I got a lot of crafting and stitchy things in it. You can do this! I lived in an apartment that had a closet under the stairs very similar to yours by your stairs. When I moved from there I was amazed at all the things I had managed to pack away in there. It was pretty amazing. So my opinion is you are going to have more space than you think. It’s just different than what you are used to. Let us all know. Your house looks lovely. And you can always plant trees. This was my last move. I dislike moving but I love where I’m at now. Good luck and have fun setting everything up.
I love watching your flosstube Holly , I hope you will be very happy in your new home 🏡 . Your grandkids will love having you so close. Happy New Year to you and your family.
Love your new crafting space! So glad to hear Graham got to enjoy Christmas with the whole family! Our Jonah’s bone morrow transplant is scheduled for Jan. 22nd.
Hi Holly, wonderful to see you & hear your voice…so lovely you had a special Christmas one last time in house now on to making new memories…excellent news surgeries were a success guardian angels were present…stitching & socks are fantastic. I can’t wait to hear what you think about the Attic…truly a sampler’s paradise so many gorgeous models on the wall’s to enjoy besides the shopping have a wonderful time I’m sure the symposium will be spectacular ❣️ Craft room will be perfect when your done putting your touch on it, take good care, LaNelle♥️
Best of luck with moving. I just moved to a new city the weekend after Christmas. Like you said, packing is a drag, but unpacking is much more fun! You've left out some beautiful projects to work on until you unpack the rest of your stash and wips. Being close to grandchildren makes it all worthwhile.
Great video, your new home is gorgeous! Love your new craft area you will have a blast fixing it up, one craft area I have always admired on floss tube is Nicole Spohr, I’m not a quilter but love the way she displays her fabric! Have fun and Happy moving!
What a TREAT to see you today! Happy to hear all about your move to that beautiful home near the grands - that daughter must be THRILLED! Ruby doesn’t know it yet, but I think she is going to be the HAPPIEST girl in the world to be able to just skip along to Gigi and Pops house! Graham will love it too!🥰. Relieved to know the surgeries went smoothly - hope the son-in-law gets his pain issue fixed…it stinks to be in pain all the time. I look forward to hearing ALL about The Attic experience! Until the next video, I will pray for the move is as painless as possible 🙃 and you have LOTS OF FUN creating your new craft space! That new kitchen of yours is just beautiful! Happy New Year lovely lady - see you next time! (I am still chuckling over your 2004 vs 2024 boo-boo 😎 on your Holly sampler…I would be known to do the same exact thing!🤷🏻♀️🥰)
We moved in May of this year after living in our last house for 27 years. My scrapbook room took over 50 3x3 cube boxes to get everything packed. I’m still moving things around in my new room but it;s coming together. I am about the same age as you and I agree, this is the LAST move - it’s hard work!
We opened up a space under our staircase, we use it for Christmas stuff storage plus grandkids have used it as a special hiding spot. You might ask your builder if that’s a possibility in your basement .
Thank you so much for sharing your moving journey with us! It is especially meaningful to me because my husband and I are having to move for work and have chosen to downsize since we have empty nested. I am encouraged by your faith and positivity! It is physically and emotionally tiring but we can do this! I am excited to see your newly arranged craft space.
Welcome back Holly. It was great to hear from you. In 2017 we remolded our home and had to pack and move so much stuff, it was work out the end result was wonderful. My husband jokes now that when the time comes to downsize we will sell the house as is furniture and all the other stuff is included in the price. He does not want to pack and unpack again. I just laughed and told he will miss his stuff however my stuff is going with me. You probably have more space than realize and hopefully everything will have a home. Praying your move goes smoothly. I am so thankful that Graham is doing well and was able to be with family for Christmas. Have a blessed day.
Holly, you have such a great attitude about life and change. You are such an inspiration. Your stitching and knitting are beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Wishing you abundant good health and happiness in your new home! I've moved 13 times in the last 20 years and have one more on the horizon. I'm getting too old for this nonsense! But I do luv the purging part of it. So happy to hear your Christmas was family- & fun- filled.
Loved seeing your new space. My husband and I recently moved and my crafting room is smaller than the one I had before so I had to downsize as well. However, new spaces are definitely fun. Good luck on your move and can't wait to see your next Flosstube. God Bless!!
Oh I am so happy to hear that Graham had a good Christmas celebrating with his family. I know you loved it also. Good luck on the move. I love the closet area. My first thought when you opened the door was a great play area for the grandkiddos also. We downsized a few years ago so I feel your pain and wish you luck. Excited to hear you will be at the Attic next week. I’d love to spend some time with you. 😊
Glad to see you Holly! Thankful for the wonderful holiday memories made too. Praying your transition goes as smoothly as possible. I know you miss having everything where it belongs, but this is a short time in comparison to your next space. Looking forward with you to great things! Many blessings and thank you for sharing!
I think it's great that you used Paige the Framer. I enjoyed seeing what she did for you. I've been following her for quite a few years on YT. I'm flad to know that things went well with sending and receiving your work from her. Have a great time at the Attic and best wishes with your move.
I love that bonus space you reclaimed by the stairs wow. Awesome! I wish I could go to the Attic with you. I need to know as soon as they open for the retreat next time. I can go to the retreat and then visit my sister in law and nephew. Prayers for your Graham
Wishing you all the best in your move! I’m excited for you. I’m happy to hear your family is doing well. God bless you and I look forward to seeing you when you are back from your trip and are settling in. Have a wonderful time at The Attic ❤❤❤
Sorry your move is taking a bit longer than planned but hope it all goes smoothly now! Your framed stitching is beautiful! I love the socks you are knitting for your Pop of Color daughter too!! Glad to hear your family is doing well after their surgeries and praying for answers for your son in law! So sorry to hear of your loss and praying for Payton as well! Love seeing your new place! I've finally been able to sit down and do some stitching after all the crafting of gifts and things with my daycare kids for Christmas and New Year's! I just finished two more letters on one of my WIPs and hope to be able to completely finish it soon. I was able to get two new patters and kit up another new pattern with some Christmas money so I am excited to finish this one and start one of those new ones! Hope your move goes well!
So great to see you Holly! Happy New Year! I am so happy that you had a great Christmas with all of your family! It is wonderful that Graham was able to be with everyone and enjoy family! I know you will love having the grands right in your back yard! I was saddened to hear of the little boy who passed away, so sad. I am excited for you moving into a new home! I’ll look forward to hearing and seeing your new home once you are settled! It is a huge task, but you will be glad you did it now! Your new space will be lovely, and it looks like you will be very organized with lots of storage! Your finishes are so pretty, and I love your progress on PUB! Have fun at Sampler Symposium, I wish I could be there!
Lovely to catch up again and see the knitting and stitching that hasn’t been packed. Enjoy your break away before your move. Wondering if a sliding door to the wardrobe would help with giving you more space and maybe with both doors open some natural light. Just a thought. Before New Year Covid came visiting and it’s unbalanced my asthma so taking time to come right with that. My sewing area is getting some things sorted and looking forward to some sewing time soon. Best wishes for your move and looking forward to seeing how you do set your sewing/stitching space.
Good luck in your move. It will be challenging to put away all of your crafty stuff and then remembering where it is. Ask me how I know. Glad all the surgeries were successful and all the grands are good. Happy New Year!
Look at you making a video with all you have going on! I love your new place, it looks wonderful! So excited for you to be so close to 2 of your grandkids. Happy New Year! Looking forward to your next video in your new place! ❤
Blessings wished for a smooth and easy move! Moving is no joke! I moved from a 3700square ft house -1000 of that was my crafty room. We wanted to downsize. My current house is 2200 sq Ft and my craft room is a maybe 10 x 8 ft room.😢 I gave up so much but I’m ok with it now. I hate it but oh well- at least I have a small room. Your new room and space looks great! Thank you for sharing! 25:49
Beautiful stitched pieces! So happy Graham could be home for Christmas and that all are healing! I am so sorry for the little angel that passed away! Good luck on your move and much happiness and joy in your new home! ❤❤❤
What a great video! So glad to hear your grandson is doing well, continued prayers for him and your other family members. I’m excited for you with your new house! Once you’re in all settled and stitching in your beautiful space, you’re going to be so happy for a clean fresh space to stitch in. Good luck with the move!
How exciting! I would trade trees and space for grands any day! So glad Graham is doing well and could enjoy the holiday! I will be praying for all of your family. Once we had 10 major surgeries for 3 out of 4 of us in a 10 month time. I definitely feel for you all. On another note, if you are putting your cutting table against a wall consider putting it on wheels that you can lock. Then if you need to cut a large backing or trim a quilt you can easily unlock the wheels with a foot and roll it out away from the wall a little. It would help make things so much easier. Mine used to be against the wall and I constantly ran into frustration not being able to spread out fabric far enough. I now have rearranged my room with the cutting table in the middle but if I ever have to go back to having it by the wall I would definitely put it on the wheels. Happy packing!
How exciting to move to your new forever home. It looks gorgeous. Even more importantly, living very close to family is priceless. All the best with your move and I look forward to seeing your new craft room set up.
I wish you the best of luck in moving. I have moved 7 different times in my life time. It is not fun. Love all of your WIPS - they are so pretty. Beautiful Stitching. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🧵🪡🧵❤️
I'm so glad you checked in with us. I have been wondering how things were coming along. Sounds like you had a fantastic Christmas with family. Grandkids make it extra special. I'm so glad Graham is doing well and was able to celebrate with family also. Enjoy setting up your new sewing room, and 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 it all fits. 😊. Happy unpacking, and I can't wait for you to be back. Have fun at the Attic, lucky you.
Love your new spot. We always think it will never be big enough and it usually isn't. Make sure you keep your most precious pieces❤❤ safe travels and good luck!
Holly, I was so happy to see your video. I have been wondering how you have managed the holidays and preparations for moving. I was thrilled to hear you say that you are going to The Attic. I am thrilled to know that I will be seeing you there. Safe travels! Best, K
I love the fabric you’re using for your”peacorn” stitch. You told us what it is, but I can’t figure it out. Could you tell me one more time? Love your videos. Good luck with your move!!
Hi glad to see you back! And congratulations on the new house and so glad your family is doing great! Can’t wait for you to get all settled bin and back to normal schedule! Love your wip’s you showed I’m also have the Tindale sisters and started to stitch the same one as you. Can you tell me what fabric you are stitching on it you didn’t mention what it was. I’m asking cause mine is a lighter than I want cause some of the flower threads don’t show up as well.
Hello! This fabric came with the kit which I got from destash so I’m assuming it is what is called for?? And there is definite ghosting of one or two of the colors but I’m ok with it. What fabric are you using?
Enjoy unpacking, see all of those projects that you are itching to stitch again! What a great room for crafts, my stuff is tucked away here and there throughout our home. I do take a basket of projects to work on in the family room, tv and Mr. Wonderful are there in the evenings.
So happy that you had such a lovely Christmas with your family. Thank you for the flosstube!❤❤❤
They have so many beautiful yarns now…. Just like cross stitch from the 80’s to the wonderful designers we have.
I’m glad all are now recovering.
You’re so adorable and a breath of sunshine! Good luck moving!!! ❤
Moving is certainly a challenge, but how wonderful to have the new space for your crafty treasures! I look forward to seeing how you organize your new spaces!

Holly! Where do I get your sweater????
Awesome you will get to move soon. I forgot what state are you in?
