Use the linen that came with the SB stocking kit. It softens as you work with it. It is only starch. Wash it before you start and that will also soften it, too. The perle cotton will thank you. Enjoy!

Holly, Such a great stash video. Do stitch the Shepherds Bush stocking on the linen provided. I stitched four of their stockings ( plus about three dozen other SB designs) and the stockings are very nice. You would have to use different threads if you went to a larger count linen. The stockings stitch up very quickly. Enjoy!!

With thy needle and threads is Brenda Gervais It is gorgeous . I have stitched Ann Thomas and it was such a lovely stitch. Gosh you have some beautiful samplers kitted.

I only have four kits - and only 1 wip. I am a monogamous stitcher because way back in the day - that's how we did it. You picked a project and worked on it until it was done. It was the 80's...what can I say.

It’s been a long hot Summer !!

I lost my knitting mojo a few years ago, but I did love knitting socks. They're a great summer project as they don't result in a lot of yarn sitting in one's lap.

I love your little pouch, so cute! The first sewing machine was a Singer 301, it had been my grandma’s and she gave it to me for my 13th birthday. I loved knowing it had been hers, it was a great sewing machine! I see on your IG that you found one, yay for you!! Love your Floss Tube channel! Prayers for your grandson!!

Don't feel guilty, I'm not a summer person either. I love to have the windows open but don't like living in the air conditioning. I would love to see a WIP parade and a kit parade if you feel like it!

Hi Holly...Im a new subscriber...recommended by Cousin Christy! Im happy to hear abiut your grandson doing better. Although I dont know his whole story yet I pray for him. Im also a huge Jimmy Buffet fan and he was an old pirate soul. Every summer I would tailgate at his concerts. Every word in his songs would speak to me of how I wanted to live my life. Your projects are just beautiful. The wedding bouquet could be embroidered with a backstitch or you could use waste canvas which can be removed after stitching. Cannot wait to see what you do with it for your daughter. I'm with you, so ready for fall as it has been terribly hot and humid here in SC. I really enjoyed meeting you in person at Stitch Florida.
