Nice video! Definitely earned a sub! Been to Rangeley twice, around the Height of Lands area. People are dumb drivers up there. I remember going a bit over the speed limit since it was very isolated, and then this car pulls out 150 yards ahead and was probably doing 30mph while down hill. Ended up passed on the double yellow because it wasn't worth crashing or slamming on my brakes. Don't really like bending rules but my safety comes first. But man your log truck story sounds wild man.

Subscribed! been to the end/start with my Subaru, the lakes up there are great! BTW - I did need traction boards on the last little water crossing at the pond.

I've done most of it, but not this section. My 2000 Forester has handled everything OK. A few sections in VT and NH were tough.

@@chrissaville6668 I know some sections in Vermont are not, but I've heard most of it is. That said I'd have traction boards, and a winch or come-a-long.

My wife and I just purchased a 4Runner Off-Road Premium and the wheels are turning on what we will need to at least venture off asphalt and not get into trouble. I Love these NEBDR videos you made and from what I have seen they look very much like beginner roads we could travel to start gaining some experience. By chance, have you done a video on the bare minimums needed to travel the NEBDR MA,VT,NH routes? Our plan is to pull our Xpedition Voyager RV. We are trying to find a community to overland with.

I haven't done a video on that specifically but it might be a good idea for the future. I don't really do very technical off roading. For me it's about the stops, the pics and the roadside stuff I can see. More to come !! Thanks for watching !

I thought so. I remember as a child traveling the road into Rangeley on 16 and my memory recalled that most of the road looked very much like this. I was wondering. Thanks for the confirmation!!!
