Yeah, 20000 yen per month is very low when some superchat donation reached to 500 USD per individual and thousands of people watched and donate to her stream, mostly the rich simps are salaryman who are anime otaku. Giving the context of GDP for Japan, that salary is just extremely low and the minimum wage for japan is almost 1000 yen per hour and if you work regularly, thats ¥200,000 - ¥300,000 per month. That's why independent vtubers exist.
In my country 200 USD equivalent is livable for some people but it's below poverty line already. In Japan, the cost of living is high so it's gotta be harder, but I heard some places, maybe rural areas, have cheaper cost of living.
Just if hololive would make holohouse already so they can be together and save up some of their living expenses, hololive would take more from their earnings since they will be providing them with a place to live but its better since that money will be going into supporting them more anyway Well, its easier said than done
Although the idea sounds good it just opens the door to predatory practices "take this pay cut" "do this thing you don't want to" etc or you're out, a contract alone is already a lot of power to have over them. That said Hololive is either in it for the long game or are very kind, I think one of the rival vtubers went over their costs and such in a vid recently, youtube takes x, company takes y, costs are z which doesn't leave much, so must be even worse for unmonitized accounts and you wouldn't think they'd keep a channel on that's not making them money.

For some reason her 20000 yen per month became 10000 yen per month... really now
Yeah, 20000 yen per month is very low when some superchat donation reached to 500 USD per individual and thousands of people watched and donate to her stream, mostly the rich simps are salaryman who are anime otaku.
Giving the context of GDP for Japan, that salary is just extremely low and the minimum wage for japan is almost 1000 yen per hour and if you work regularly, thats ¥200,000 - ¥300,000 per month. That's why independent vtubers exist.
200 bucks for 1 day or 200 bucks for 1 month? i can survive on 200 bucks a day though.
I'll be damned if you can't survive off 6000 per month
Goods and currencies value differently in each country tho. I heard that living cost is rather expensive in Japan
In my country 200 USD equivalent is livable for some people but it's below poverty line already. In Japan, the cost of living is high so it's gotta be harder, but I heard some places, maybe rural areas, have cheaper cost of living.
50 dollars in food is what we spend in a _week_ where I live. I can't even imagine.
That income in February is my monthly income in my work for the last 2 years. Idk why but i feel called out and i'm not liking it.
Do you live in a country with equivalent costs of life as Japan?
Now that I think about it, someone knows what the t-shit says? I get the pp tenshi, but what about the other text?
Just if hololive would make holohouse already so they can be together and save up some of their living expenses, hololive would take more from their earnings since they will be providing them with a place to live but its better since that money will be going into supporting them more anyway
Well, its easier said than done
Seems like Coco's onto that already
Although the idea sounds good it just opens the door to predatory practices "take this pay cut" "do this thing you don't want to" etc or you're out, a contract alone is already a lot of power to have over them.
That said Hololive is either in it for the long game or are very kind, I think one of the rival vtubers went over their costs and such in a vid recently, youtube takes x, company takes y, costs are z which doesn't leave much, so must be even worse for unmonitized accounts and you wouldn't think they'd keep a channel on that's not making them money.
How does she survive with 5000 yen of food a month? Even with 2 meals a day unless she eat only baked potatoes or something, 5000 yen is almost impossible. 5kg of rice is already 1500 yen lol
They probably have jobs IRL. You never really wanna make something like this your full time job because it's never stable.
She lives with Coco now so that makes things easier for the both of them
@@HakunonMatata wait she lives together with Coco??? :000
Joke or not, the fact that she says she could get "Scolded" for that is pretty shitty.
Basbas192 RUclips have rules not to tell how much you are earning from RUclips.
20000 yen = 10k php per month in my country.. I could kind of survive with 16k per month here but saving is tough. Couldn't imagine 6k less.. We should really be grateful for what we have..
The fact that Yagoo didn´t step up and give PPT and Coco an advance during the months that they weren´t monetised is really disgusting
he just lost his "best girl" status in my eyes
Sapphire Jack Without monetization they weren’t making the company any money either. From what I hear, the company also provides free equipment and obviously there’s costs to run the company and creating content and such.
Isn't it kinda rude to ask how much someone is making lmao
some parts of the world isn't
bruh 200 dollars a vid
imagine
@@BIGFATYELLOWDOG didn't she say that's what she earned through her collab with matsuri? Not the entire month? correct me if I'm wrong
It's 20k that month. What she meant is she accidentally said her income on her and matsuri Collab. But don't worry, now they make more than 200$ a video lmao
