Ive never played this game but with sol squadron playing on back my mind instinctively imagined the "MISSILE! MISSILE! MISSILE!" alerts and boy it was hilarious watching you spam missiles! i might actually give this game a shot now!
Waiting for a real space battle sim RTS, with real Newtonian physic and orbital mechanic. That would be great, it's not that hard to understand how it works (KSP a game about rocket science with those mechanics is very popular). Nebulous is close, but sadly, they chose a more arcadish direction when it comes to physic and movement. Nebulous look like more a 3D naval battle sim rather than a proper space battle sim.
@@mrsupremegascon Iirc nebulous was actually initially going to be a surface naval combat sim. However the lead dev was ex navy and felt as though creating a naval game with realistic radar and jamming might be getting a bit to close to the classified naval information type stuff so he instead chose to go for the more arcady space game
i had a match the other night with one cruiser, and i do believe that it is the meta now since the missile update, the CL has everything you need slot wise for missile defense, and if you put proximity fuse HE in your gun and change your doctrine a bit itll run flak interreference along with your dedicated missile defense guns.. AND also damage lightly armored ships, up to DD i think.. this video highlights why i ALWAYS stay at EMCON, since the update..
Bro I hate light cruisers the second you run into an axford you immediately explode and if the heavy cruiser is playing well enough he can bring enough pd ships to completely cover himself from missles while you are fucked
@@christianbrewer1840 funny story, the music was playing from RUclips in the background! I muted the game music to listen to the epic music. This audio is actually what I was listening to while playing the game. It made for a pretty intense match!

What exactly do you expect torpedpes to be used for if not close range direct fire? You can make good use of cruise guidance with weapons suited for it.

As a hard sci-fi nerd, yes.
That escalated quickly.
No thoughts. Only missiles. I love it.
This is more intense then all recent movie space battles.

Me playing homeworld: Whew, this is a hard RTS to master, I hope there wont be a super complicated Spherical movement RTS in the future
