I’m glad I’ve found your video, I’ve never use the DW sprays I’ve bought a couple of them and your tips are going to help me not to get clogged sprays. Thank you 🙏
This was really helpful. I just got a set of the sprays and have been diligent about wiping the nozzle after use but adding moisture is an additional way to keep these paints going. I have seen flip-throughs of some of your journals and have been wondering how you got the background of your pages to look so nice. Now I know! I just started your "Journal Into Your Art" class and am using some spray along with brush strokes on my pages.
Thank you for all the useful information about how to use the Dina Wakley sprays to their best advantage. I am especially excited to try your tip to prevent clogging!
You have made my day with all the helpful tips. I have about 10 sprays with clogged nozzles even though I have been careful to clean the spray tips. I was also unaware that there are replacement spray tops. It gives me hope that my sprays will, once again, spray as intended.
I'm slowly building up my colors in gloss spray, the black friday sale was amazing to double my colors lol. I use the colors I don't have to add on my ranger orders to hit the free shipping 😆 I'll have to try your cap drip technique, I've been mostly lucky since I clean the nozzles every time, but with the dry air of heaters running now I bet I'll have more issues. I have noticed problems with gloss spray pages sticking together and I've had a few rips.
Thank you, Megan! I have several of these gorgeous sprays and have had some trouble on occasion with the clogging thing. Your solution is so smoke and yet so effective! I can't wait to get back into my studio! Question? What is the purpose of those two balls floating in your paint water? I've never seen this before. ❤️
I noticed you don’t use gesso with most of your work. Do you ever use gesso? Everything always seems to take the paint well. Maybe we overuse the gesso🤷♀️
I use gesso when I am working in art journals, who’s pages are brand, new, and I am using acrylic paints. It just happens that lately, I have been working recently in my own handmade journals, whose papers already have paint on them.
Thanks for these tips. I will be using the nozzle in the water trick for sure!🙂

Your cap tip is PRICELESS!
I have got to start using my sprays again. Forgot how much I like them!

Thank you for that info Megan. I love the sprays, but they have always dried out for me. I’m going to give this a try. ❤

I recommend replacing the clogged caps (they come in 2 packs) and then going forward, keep them wet inside❤
Thank you for this very informative video, and hints how to prevent clogging. I never thought of that and it does make a lot of sense.
mind blown thank you
Thanks for the tip, I will try that for sur since mine clubs even when I clean them after each use.
Do you have favourite color combos?

Game changer!
When you are doodling on these backgrounds do you use Posca paint markers?
Yes. Especially with the Dina Wakley sprays. I like the Jane Davenport Musical Markers too😉

Lol, those are just foams from a blending tool soaking. 😊

@@meganquinlanstudio105 Thank you.
I love the sprays but, despite trying all sorts of tips n tricks, they clog for me. I’ve got a ton of new caps so will try this - thank you.
