Nice, I was debating on let my kids go in my 20s anniversary because I’ve got four of them. They might’ve seal the deal, going to Hawaiian surf school with Jamie O’Brien and my four kids and wife. I don’t know if it gets more epic for me 😎🤙

I have to say this is so cool - our motto as you know "The family that skis together, stays together" - the same could be said about surfing - getting the kids out in nature , filming them, teaching them - we fully support! Awesome edit..

Just had my 12 year old boy do a lesson a couple weeks ago and he rocked it!!!! He had caught some tiny whitewater a handful of times previously but thanks to the JOB experience he is confidently riding unbroken faces and angling! He’s hungry!

You were not kidding when you said the best place on the north shore dude that was our home every year for the pipe masters starting in 2004 when you took the title in 2005 and 2007 so it was our home away from home. So if I ever get the opportunity to come back, I will definitely enlist your surf school just to relive the old days.
Finally you're doing something for the community. I dont think that turtle bay has changed much since I've been there, but I understand the "new" sentiment.
Day 1, Lesson 1, Backside late drop laybacks into double over-head Pipeline barrel and being spit out the tube like a cannon. When will you be given these lessons? You're the King of the Backside Barrels at Pipe (on a Soft Long Board even). Keep up the great work. Love the idea of helping to build the sport for the future Groms and for being an excellent ambassador/role model for Surfing.

Stayed at Turtle Bay last month and did the JOB experience!! Was so sad because the waves were entirely flat probably was only able to catch one if that. Ready to go back and try again!!
I was at pipe last week visiting from Buffalo, NY and I went through the path next to Jamie’s house down to the beach. It felt wrong to be next to his house, it felt like I was stalking him. But, there’s the bench at the end of the path dedicated to Derek Ho, super nice gesture by the locals. Wish I could’ve seen Jamie but still had a great time.
